It seemed kind of rushed, she didnt explain what she was putting on my face. At the end I had mascara under my eyes. Would have been nice if she removed it with my makeup. I looked like a fool

Just this time, the therapist used so much oil I had to go straight home and shower. My hair especially was very greasy. She did a great job otherwise. i didn’t realize how greasy I was until I looked in the car mirror. I hope it washes out of my clothes. I do love my local hand & stone though.

the massage therapist is great, the reception people are so so. also have automatic monthly payments for massage so the specials for others were buy 2 get one free for $109.seems like its better to not be a member.

A veteran and her Mom came in at the same time as I did for massage appointments. They were going to use gift cards. Staff person said the cards expired. Veteran’s Mom said that she was deployed and couldn’t get to spa any earlier and they left. Representative at H/S should have made a call and management should have made an accommodation for our Veteran. I was saddened and embarrassed at this treatment. Our Veterans deserve better and your policy needs to change! I await your response before I make a decision to continue my membership.

This is my second visit and both times the receptionist was unfriendly and didn’t at all make me feel welcomed. (And it was different people). I have gone to other Hand and Stone’s where I lived prior and the feeling of being welcomed and relaxed started from the moment you walked through the door. Not here. Plus I was taken 13 minutes late but my end time was EARLY ...did NOT get 50 minutes.

The esthetician was very friendly & professional, however I’m still in search of an esthetician that does a thorough job so I do not have to go home & finish waxing missed spots. I’ve been to 3 locations & only had one esthetician that finished the job, but it’s next to impossible to get an appointment with her unless you book 6 months in advance.

I am claustrophobic and at times felt crowded even though the only people in the room were myself and the massage therapist

The receptionist seemed bothered when I went to check in. She did state she was alone, and it showed. The massage therapist asked what areas I would like focused on, so I asked for neck and shoulders. Only shoulders was addresses, never touched my neck.

I am not satisfied with how the gift cards work at Hand & Stone. If someone gives it as a gift, and the receiver wants to apply it toward something else that they'd be happy with, they should be able to. I booked a Deep Tissue massage and wanted to get a paraffin treatment, but was unable to apply the $171 toward it. I was forced to switch it to a 50 minute swedish massage with no paraffin (but i could pay out of pocket to add it??? when you already have the money on the card??). It just doesn't make sense. It is poor customer service/business practice to do gift cards this way.
