La Quinta Inn & Suites Orlando Convention Center

Biggest complaint was that we requested non smoking and you could tell it was a smokers room. The phone was stained yellow

This is one of the worst LaQuintas I have stayed at. The toilet runs continuously and today the hair dryer had plastic shards in it that got caught in the spinning part and created an insane noise. I have my dog with me and appreciate that this hotel is Pet Friendly, but I am surprised at the quality of room here. Normally my rooms are well functioning and the stuff in the room works. But this hotel has been the exception. Outside the hotel on my second evening my dog and I came across a man who was trying to break into vehicles. I alerted a police officer that was patrolling the area to the man that was acting suspicious, the officer acted quickly bringing in support and apprehended the man. Thats when they discovered he'd been trying to break into the cars. I won't say that I feel unsafe, but it's something that makes me more conscious. Obviously Orlando is a touristy area and people are opportunistic.
