Hand and Stone

I don’t feel like it’s the same service I used to get when I first came to TX in 2019. I know Covid has cause a lot of the changes but it’s start to feel like all the other franchise places. I used to feel like this was a step above them.

My time receiving my massage never last a full hour. I notice the clock when I arrive in the room and when I leave. Normally I’m only in the session for about 50 minutes.

Wish I had a few minutes to rest quietly after instead of just being told to dress and check out

When trying to cancel my membership I had to call several times. I started this process at the beginning of June and it was finally resolved at the very end of July. I felt it took too much work on my part to be able to change my membership status. This definitely impacts my desire to resume my membership at any point. I also have not found a therapist I really enjoy

Front desk team was very friendly but couldn’t answer my question about service. She said she would het more info but then forgot. Wasn’t the end of the world but I was trying to upgrade my service.

A few hours after my massage, my back started seizing up. I am in pain two days after the appointment. I’m not sure what caused the pain since I was not in pain prior to the massage, during the massage or immediately after. I do not blame Abby and think she did a fine job. I just wish I knew why that happened. Could it be a side effect from the CBD and could it caused my muscles to be too loose and have difficulty supporting my spine?

For the price 43 minutes of a massage is just ok. I don't need 15 minutes to change and get ready so I feel like the value for what I paid wasn't all that. 50 minutes at the minimum. Also I don't live in Kingwood, so trying to sell me on the membership there was kinda annoying as I already told them their are no Hand & Stone locations where I live in Oceanside CA and the closest ones are 30 miles away. As a yoga studio owner I understand offering memberships but not to people who can't use the service.

I am use to Ariya's style of massage and this therapist style was more pressure than massage so I was unable to relax during the massage

Every time that I find a message therapist that I like, they move to a different location. I would prefer to go to the same person every time and not have to try new people because they don’t stay at the same location.
