Talked too much and wasn’t relaxing. Didn’t really explain what I needed or recommend why I should come back and what she would recommend for a treatment program. Too vague.

I think that ten minutes was not enough time to arrive early to fill out initial intake forms. Like many people, I also like to have a sip of water, visit the restroom, and ease into my facial appointment. I recommend suggesting that first-time clients arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment.

Trace B is an excellent massage therapist and I will continue to choose over anyone else. He deserves 20 stars!!! The other therapists in the Vienna location are not as knowledgeable nor do they work to individualize the service given so that is the reason I’m not highly satisfied in my overall experience with hand and stone.

I believe I would have preferred a non stone massage. The professional who did my facial was a little too chipper/talky and I felt as though I had cream on, cream off, cream on....etc. The "mister" did not seem focused on my face.

The massage room had a faint odor of sewage and/or mildew. The bathrooms also had an unpleasant odor.

The head rest smelled sour, I requested deep tissue but the pressure was insufficient. The lady was either gagging or clearing her throat, it made me uncomfortable. I’m very clean and showered before I came.

Very professional and clean area. Extremely easy to book an appointment and everyone was on time. The facial itself was very relaxing and I felt great afterwards!

My husband & I visited on our anniversary back in June. I had previously been a highly satisfied member of a Hand & Stone in Richmond, VA. We had massages and facials scheduled, both appointments were confirmed upon our arrival, but we emerged from our massages to, “We have some bad news-there was a mistake in scheduling & our aesthetician is not in today...” We called the corporate line several times & left messages, filled out one of these surveys, & after weeks of nothing I finally got an email from the owner-but I was traveling. I called her back and she was out, then we emailed, & after playing tag for almost 3 months with the last communication being my giving her a time to call 8/28. I asked to have my membership cancelled & it has not been so I am using my credits now to avoid losing the money, but the therapist I just saw was not the warmest personality and frankly this whole thing has been a mess. Unless someone can step up and offer some reason to stay I will be canceling membership.

The receptionist is just annoying and not my favorite. While she likes to apologize, mishaps need to be fixed with actions not words.

I think the main issue I had was that I had asked for attention from neck to hips, but my lower back was essentially ignored and my shoulders received very little attention. Instead a lot of time was spent on my legs which I really do not like. I also asked that more attention be spent on my hands and I felt that was just average. It's very hard to know during a long appointment what area is the therapist will focus on at what point, it's frustrating to get to the end of the massage and realize the shoulders will go unaddressed or the lower back will go un addressed.
