Staff did not acknowledge me when I came into store. Not especially friendly, I shopped at the Wild Birds in Forest Park and Tim and Ben were very friendly.

It was obvious the employee was new, inexperienced, unknowledgeable and slow. The weather was bad so the other employees were working in the back. When they came to help the person out, things changed for the better.

The last 20lb bag of bird food I purchased (earlier this fall) was infested with moths. It was a mess. I store bird seed in a sealed plastic container in my garage (thank goodness it wasn’t in my house!) and wasn’t sure where the moths came from, so I sealed the bag to keep moths from getting in. Well, the seed bag is where they came from; seeds were clumped together and covered in a web-like substance (silk?), which I didn’t notice until I filled my feeder. Everything was polluted with moth silk and little worms everywhere…DISGUSTING!! Had to pick little worms out of the feeder and scrub the whole thing. I’m itchy just remembering it. When I asked the woman at the WB store about this, she told me there are always worms mixed in with the seeds, it’s unavoidable, (“nature of the beast” I think is what she said), you just can’t let the seeds sit for two long in a warm place. WHAT?! No apology or offer to replace. Never had this problem in at least five years of buying seeds there. So I’m not sure when I will be buying another large bag from you guys.

The man that works the counter at this store is not friendly, helpful or kind. All the female clerks couldn’t be nicer. I may not return to this store if he’s working.

Given the small size of the store, and the large number of unmasked shoppers, and store workers inside it I will call for curbside pickup the next time I need bird supplies. Given the size of the store you could at least put in a couple of air purifiers to improve ventilation. Your customers won’t be spending much money if they get sick

I have been doing curbside until recently from WBU, but came in for the bee keeping seminar a couple of weeks ago. I came back with questions about bird houses. The owner was busy with another customer, & I went to the back of the store, to look at feeders. I learned from your website from the National Wildlife Federation, the types of feeders that prevent raccoons & squirrels. A woman was helping a couple, so I listened hoping she would answer my question. She left & did not return. Then another couple came, a shorter, dark haired woman offered them help. I tried to make eye contact, but she ran off. I then was looking at greeting cards, and she stood near me, straightening out cards behind me, as if I had messed them up. I just got in line with my purchase, and she went to one of the computers, but did not invite me to come over, so I waited. A different woman then offered to help from the other side of the store, but the short dark haired woman returned and jumped back on that computer, so I was told they could not check me out. Then the woman who is usually there, asked if I was ready to check out, and if I had been there before, as she asks me every time. I felt invisible.

The staff and website are not clear on sale rules and the price of merchandise is very expensive compared to other places.

I don’t know why you only have Live and phone staff 4 hours a day. I tried to shop at 1040 AM the day before and not only were you closed, your phone had no one to answer and the message option was full.
