The store is becoming more of a gift shop than a birdwatching/birdfeed store. 3 staff members working but only one at register. Once that person helped customer out to their car, the other two didn't step up to check me out so I had to wait. Not a huge deal but the atmosphere of the store has certainly changed with the new owners.

I was notified that the product (baffles) they were completely out of at my last visit was now in the store. But they only had one option that would not work with my current set up. so 2 trips to the store and no baffle. At least I was able to buy one product they were initially out of at the second visit.

When I started shopping here, my first experience with Ashley was so great, I came back. As I purchased more items to feed the birds, squirrels, raccoons and possums, my experiences continued to be wonderful. However, recently there has been a problem getting the bags of corn for the squirrels. There is one older lady at the store who initially advised me to come on Tuesdays when the truck delivers. I work 12 hour shifts in the ER every other Tuesday and it is hard for me to get to the store. On my recent visit, I was coming in to purchase a seed cake and as I entered the store, instead of greeting me, this lady says to me, “We don’t have any corn!” I didn’t know what to say as I wasn’t there to get corn and I didn’t appreciate the assumption or the statement. I buy a lot more than just corn. This is not the treatment I’m used to getting at the store and it left a bad taste.

I purchased a butterfly feeder and have tried to use it but butterflies do not use it. We have Covid for weeks, I typically come in the store every other month & when I go in, I said I had a return or exchange of the butterfly feeder. It just does not work. A lady told me I could exchange it for store credit, I just wanted another hummingbird feeder instead but another lady said my return had to be within 30 days. I was told 2 different return polices & absolutely no understanding of the situation. I’ve been a customer for years. I don’t know if I’ll be back. You don’t say “yes” we’ll exchange it & then change it to only if returned in 30 days & if you do, someone with customer service experience should do it.

I took a feeder back in that was not working and I ended up having to buy more. The staff was not willing to return the item that was defective. I will not go back!
