The birdhouse I ordered was to replace one that was made of wood and lasted a couple of years but then fell apart. This one is made from recycled milk jugs which was a positive and should last a very long time. It also opens at the top to check on the nest and on the side to clean it out after the little ones fledge. Looks very sturdy. Cannot wait to put it out in the spring.
