It was good. Some time taken booking and paying. Could’ve used more relaxation during the massage. Pressure was great though.

Staff was great! Waiting area needs blinds or something to “separate” it from the very busy parking lot outside to begin the calming process. My therapist left the room too light...needed to be darker for me to feel relaxed. She was great though - wonderful massage. Room was also slightly too cold. Would have loved time in a transition room. Great massage but lack of these ambiance-related things left it feeling a little more medical than relaxing.

The massage therapist was unreceptive to feedback during the massage, which was a surprise since she dis not ask about pressure preferences prior to starting. When I explained during the first 10 minutes that I preferred firm pressure, she indicated she was warming up the muscles first, which made sense to me. Then when she moved to the right side of my upper body she immediately applied her shoulder & extreme pressure to my neck and mid-shoulder area and I had to tell her she had gone too far and deep too fast. In other words, did not warm up the muscles first. She did a nice job on my arms and hands & used excellent techniques, which I complimented her on. She was unresponsive to the compliment. Then, at the end of the massage, she said, “ I’m going to refer you to Sunshine, because you don’t seem satisfied.” I explained to her that I wasn’t that I was dissatisfied. However, she didn’t check in with me on my preferences at the start of the session, and I expect a therapist to be comfortable adjusting based on client needs. I think she is a good therapist; however, her client engagement and emphatic listening and willingness to be open to feedback has room for improvement.

I was charged an extra 20$ when I went to pay and was not told during my session by the esthetician that it would be an upcharge from my facial. they did remove the charge so that was good. I feel that the products are very good but highly overpriced. My massage was good but nothing spectacular, though I did really enjoy the 10$ hot stone upgrade. overall a good spa experience but very highly overpriced.

Receptionist was obviously new and perhaps needed more training to reach a comfort level. She did handle her inexperience well and asked for help.

The receptionist is kind but not as outgoing as I would prefer. I think there should be some kind of a relaxation room you can go in before or after your service while waiting.

It was not relaxing. Spent more time with pressure point type application rather than a relaxing swedish style massage. Not what I have received at Carmel location.

The appointment was not confirmed, I was early, but session started late. The massage therapist was inexperienced and the receptionist is not at all personable. She wasn’t personable during my first visit in February either.
