Felt somewhat pressured to purchase facial products at the end of the facial.

I booked online for facial and peel. During facial, the esthetician determined the peel would be too harsh for my skin, which I appreciate. But she failed to tell the front desk so I was still charged for it. I didn’t catch the error until later in the day. I called to ask for a refund. They took care of it, but between that and the overwhelming product sales pitch, it took away from the relaxing experience I was looking for.

Although I appreciate my esthetician’s knowledge of the procedures and products, it was almost too overwhelming. I agree getting a facial is about improving my skin but I also feel that I should be able to relax without having to talk or answer questions the whole way through. I also explained at the beginning that I was there for a relaxing experience that day. I did not leave feeling like I got my money or time’s worth at this appointment, it felt too medical. The esthetician was nice but just too talkative.

Overheard another aesthetician being rude to a client in reception and when i offered my support to the client that same aesthetician was equally nasty to me as well

The masseuse was very nice and definitely relaxed me, but she felt uncomfortable working on my leg and foot which definitely are reasons I come in to get relief. I also felt the service was shorter than it should have been.

Maybe since my last spa experience was at a resort in Jamaica, my comparison might be biased.

It is hard to make an appointment because the schedule is so full. I am a member and get monthly auto draft. But there isn’t much opportunity for me to use it because I can’t get an appointment. So I have built up credit on my account. And I can’t use them fast enough. But I can’t get a refund or pause on my auto drafts either. So that is frustrating.

The massage product used was an oil vs a lotion. I didn’t care for the greasy feel of my skin after the massage. I was given a warm cloth to clean up, but it wasn’t enough.

Masseuse was good. Most of my dissatisfaction comes from appt availability. Not sure if it’s a help thing or just the popularity.
