I am used to an hour massage including 50 actual minutes of massage, whereas at Hand and Stone, the actual massage time seems to be 40 minutes.

The contractual agreements are not a relaxing way to set up an appointment, and it seems you are pressured with add ons. If there weren't a million things being shoved towards you to ask you to spend more money so blatantly, it might make for a more relaxed environment. The aesthetic of this model/method is outdated, from a marketing standpoint is off-putting, especially for a spa.

The experience was great. Booking online seems inefficient. I request an appointment online, then someone calls me to confirm the appointment. It seems like going online is pointless.

only concern is that Nikia wears gloves during facial massage. My husband dislikes that also. We don’t want latex, or any unnecessary chemicals rubbed into our skin. All else is great. Thanks for asking.

I was asked if I wanted a facial for sensitive skin but I did not ask the cost. The lady told me I had an extra credit and that I was also getting a complimentary cold stone treatment for a missed appointment by the aesthetician about a week ago. I was unaware this sensitive skin treatment would cost $40 extra. I found out when I checked out.

I didn’t feel a difference with CBD oil. It was recommended and nothing was wrong with it. I guess I expected more. Everything else was highly satisfying

I really do not like any of the up selling at all!! I waited a long time without being updated that they were running a little behind schedule. I also had to fill out my intake form for the second time ( I filled it out the first visit and again my fourth visit.) the receptionist when I called to schedule appointment was not very friendly but the staff that was there during my appointment was very nice.

The therapist did not offer aromatherapy at the beginning, I had to inquire if it was offered and requested it. Just about the entire hour was spent on my area of interest, and little to none elsewhere. Felt the time should have been dispersed to accommodate other areas somewhat, to count as a full body massage. I wasn't able to relax, and can't recall if spa music was played in the background or not.

I was 20 minutes early. For my 12:00 appointment. When I arrived solicited to upgrade even though I had already booked a massage. At 12:00 when the therapist was not got to get me, I asked the receptionist if he knew I was there. At 12:05 I asked the receptionist to confirm that he knew I was there. She went back and said he knew I was there. When I asked her if this was going to cut my appointment short she said oh, no he will take care of you. Finally at 12:08 he came out the get me at started my massage just 12:15 (my appointment was for 12:00 noon). I confirmed with him my massage was 90 minuted and he said yes. He was finished by 1:30. that was 10 MINUTES SHORT of when he was supposed to end. Both the receptionist AND the therapist confirmed my 90 minutes massage and would not be cut short because of the 10 late start. It was a wonderful massage and I did rebook for next week only because I have nerve damage and he was good. I am expecting he will give me the 10 minutes I was shorted. I left massage envy for this reason and the criminal reputation they have.

I have eczema and have a lot of allergies and I wish you hand more eczema friendly products. Just because it’s fragrance free doesn’t mean it is
