As a history teacher, I was very excited to see this fort! I was a little confused as to why they built an ugly black building in the middle of the old fort when they could have made it look more aesthetically appealing but I loved it.

Fort Sumter is a great place to take your family. Very educational and a lot of wildlife to see as well.

The gift shop was very small no water available to purchase extremely hot day, he wasn't the friendliest clerk
