Hand and Stone

My massage was very good, and the therapist was very friendly. My prior massages with another massage therapist at Hand and Stone were somewhat better, primarily regarding degree of pressure for my neck/back and comprehensiveness (scalp was omitted). My husband and I have been overall very pleased with our Hand and Stone services, and we plan to continue our membership.

The receptionist sat in her car instead of the front desk. She would go in and out several times while i waited to start my appoinment but mainly stayed in the car while i stayed alone in the lobby.

The Destin location has only one female masseus and she stays booked. Hard to get an appointment. I was able to get the last appt because someone else cancelled.

Front desk woman was pleasant and efficient. The esthetician was very polite and knowledgeable. However, she smelled so strongly of cigarettes. During my facial, all I could smell was cigarettes. Might want to have her wear gloves throughout the entire facial so the clients won't have to smell the cigarette odor coming from her fingers/hands. It was pretty gross. I will recommend your facility in the future but can't really recommend the facility herself unless she can do something about the cigarette odor on her fingers.

Receptionist had no idea what was going on at any point. She is poorly trained to be running the desk. She didnt know how to apply military discounts and she didnt tell me the correct pricing of the massages nor could she add my membership back. I suggested she get with her manager, but she said her manager is sick. I feel bad because she is poorly trained and it's not exactly her fault. She shouldnt be running the desk alone.

Issues checking out, machine, not attendant. Price charged not the same as told at counter.

My original appointment (80minute pre-natal) was cancelled and rescheduled due to therapist out for emergency. When rebooking ended up taking a 50 minute massage the following day. When speaking with the therapist she gave me the impression that they didn’t do 80-minute for pre-natal. Leaves me questioning foe future visits.

The experience was good. It did not blow me away or wow me. Nothing particularly special about it compared to other establishments I have visited.

I am on a cancer drug and I asked if the therapist had her vaccines. And was told due to Hippa she could not answer that. It was the manager not the receptionist. She also said that if I asked the therapist was not required to answer. My hubs and sons are docs. I have been in quarantine over a year. This upset me and made me sad and emotional.

Overall my therapist was very nice and knowledgeable, but seemed to be rushed and did not massage the areas that needed it the most thoroughly.
