Too long to get food

I was going to order via the website, however the Bistro Salade box lunches did not have the side options that the website said once you chose a salad. Website said choices were chips, pasta, fruit salad, Caesar salad or cookie. When you chose the salad those choices were not on there. It only let you choose fruit salad, cookie or soup. So I had to call the restaurant to order 15 box lunches and asked if it would be easier to do over the phone since I could not do via the website because the choices that I offered to everyone initially were not even available on the web. The person at the store said I could just email the order at that point and didn't want to do it over the phone. Although I felt uneasy, I did the order as they told me on Friday for Monday delivery. Called & they confirmed they DID get the email. Monday, I received a call from call center telling me that the person who handles email orders is no longer at that location and they almost missed my order and that I should call it in if issues with the web in the future. So I had to explain that I tried that and was told to email the order in. They apologized & luckily were able to get my order without incident.

Delivery was late. Food wasn't the best I've had from LaMadeleine.

The cafe needs to have updated decor, dining area is claustrophobic. Chairs are uncomfortable and crowded together. Not enough staff to keep dining area clean & too much noise.

It took a few minutes for someone to greet & assist me. The associates seemed preoccupied with the food line & talking amongst themselves. Associate came into to go area & had her back to me while doing something, but did not acknowledge me. I stood in front of the counter & bakery display. She wasn’t overly friendly, as is usually the case at this location. I placed my order, paid & packed up a little bread. On my way back to the to go area, an employee (manager?) came over & explained they did not have the vegetables for the Salmon & squash bowl. I asked if there were other vegetable sides available & chose different ones. While disappointed, it wasn’t so much that they didn’t have the ingredients necessary to make the seasonal dish - it was the absence of the usual customer service levels I have come to appreciate at this location.

The person did not take our order correctly. We rectified it. The eggs were not runny while we ordered eggs over easy. Fresh Berry French Toast did not have powdered sugar on top.

My soup was very hot so it burned my tongue. Also, I’m vegetarian and they put chicken in my pasta even though I ordered it without.
