communications were not so good . I wanted a Ceasar Salad sandwich on a bun with rotersary chicken. My wife wanted the same but on a croisant - (she doesnt like the tough bun.) When we go home with the takeout order we found two chicken salad sandwiches. Not what we expected. But we gave order over the phone while driving. We have odered Ceasar salad sandwiches before with salmon so we expected something sisilar.

Waited forever for someone to take lunch order, then later to take dessert order. Not enough employees, stood ready to order for 10 min before order taken. Took a long time to get sandwich, hardly any customers. Only 1 kind of quiche, appeared & tasted old.

ordered a loaf of sour dough bread that was left out of my order, person on phone said they didn't have any, mgr said she just forgot to put it in the bag. Couldn't give me a credit because I paid online. I had to drive 20 min back to the café to either get the bread or the refund. Wasn't going to drive all the way back so just lost $5 and didn't get any bread with our order. Always seem to have problems with to go orders at this location.

I was with a party of four. (1) I planned to pay for all four people, but the person who took our order did not know how to do that and said so rather rudely. (2) The person taking the money had already closed out the other 3 persons before I got to her. At least she apologized, although rather reluctantly. (3) One person ordered salmon salad. The picture in the menu showed a piece of salmon. What was served was rather uninviting crumbled salmon from a plastic bag. (4) One person ordered a diet coke. The diet coke was not operating. (5) One person ordered a potato dish. When it did not arrive, we were told it would take 45 minutes to prepare. She was at last offered a substitute. (6) The trays were dirty. No manager was evident. The employees need more training in their job and in customer service. If this were my first trip to La Madeleine, I would never return.

I came here for the soup,and to sit and chat with someone. Glad that I can buy the jars. Everything was fine, bought some soup with my sister-in-law. As we were only there for a couple of hours. Eventually, we decided we wanted some sweets. When we approached one of the staff. She didn't seem happy to help, it was a little hard to understand her at first. She had a bit of a thick accent, while we were looking around. She started to laugh and talk, I thought maybe she was making suggestions or something. But my sister-in-law pointed out that she was on the phone. She in fact was, and didn't seem too want to help us. Rather, she made it seem as if we were bothering her. I had asked if she should be making personal calls. And all she did was set the phone down and asked what she could get for us. I could still see her phone out in the open, and I could hear the person on the other line still talking. No apology, or explanation. That was it for us both, I don't understand how someone could honestly be this rude. We gathered our stuff and proceeded to leave.

It was incredibly crowded at the counter where customers order. When I ordered, I asked to remove something from my sandwich. The cashier argued with me about what came on the sandwich even after I showed her the menu. Once I received my food, it had the pesto that I had originally asked to me remove. Because of this inconvenience, I had to wait an additional 10 minutes while the rest of my family had already received our food. We weren’t given utensils, lids, or tea bags for our hot tea, and we had to wait frequently throughout our visit for the basics.

Lack of quality in your entrees. You have too many competitors offering this same dish, with fresh, top quality ingredients for the same price. Flower Child for example . to me you have turned into a run of the mill diner.
