la Madeleine

I came in for a loaf of sourdough bread. Unfortueately the cafe was out and it was over a 30 minutes wait. However everyone was very nice and service was friendly. The bread was fresh and delicious and worth the long wait.

The first salad had a hair in my food. They remade it but I discovered they remade it on on a dirty plate. They didn’t do it purposefully though. I expected they would be more apologetic about this and offer me something.

Since it was my first time, the ordering process was very foreign to me. I asked for some clarification, and staff was accomadating but rather unfriendly about it. The dining area didn't appear to be actively cleaned, despite the fact that it wasn't very busy. Doubt I will dine in again, but at least the bakery cashier was very kind.

Need to make sure desserts are stocked and ready to order and not have to wait for dessert to be finished preparing

I would like a little bit more portion size, or else be a little more affordable.

When I first walked up to the line, I wasn’t sure where to order or where the menu was. So it was confusing for me when ordering. Secondly, the petite salad I got was very expensive for the greens and few pieces of pecans and strawberries. I was pleased that the associate exchanged the cranberries for strawberries at no cost.

Music was very loud and did not have much of a Christmas feel.

It was slow

Ordered a Salad Sampler and Chicken LaMadeline. The Sampler came out promptly. I had to go to serving line and ask about my second order. Seems it was out on shelf but not picked up and completed. I observed several employees walk by it. There was no one working the serving line at this moment. I asked the employee that took the order and they completed it promply, apologized and offered a free dessert. Upon completion I requested my complementary dessert. Only on arriving home did I notice that they used my free mini parfeit that I had received via my rewards.

My Tomato Spinach Croissant....I asked when ordering if they would warm it....the server put it back to be warmed and gave it back to me a few minutes later. I don't think it had been in an oven....if so, just barely. It tasted greasy rather than chees/tomato/spinach. I brought home a piece, and warmed it about 3 minutes at 350...delicious!
