The lettuce in the caesar salad was not fresh. the size of the serving was much smaller than normal.

The staff ignored us behind the counter for several minutes while they stood there talking to one another. The cafe was very slow/not busy. They were just ignoring us, both at the ordering station & again at the register to pay. The girl looked right at us & continued chatting. Then my husband's order sat in the window for quite a while before she decided to make his side salad. All because they were just shooting the breeze behind the counter. Then, they didn't even hold the onions on his French dip.

First, I didn't visit a cafe. I placed an order on Grubhub so I can't rate an actual visit. What I was dissatisfied with was the Potato soup. There were 3 orders of Potato soup & it was so watery, I DRANK mine. Also, I ordered a petite Caesar salad that I didn't receive.

I was told when ordering my chicken friend would take 30 minutes to bake. This was disappointing, but I was early for a meeting, so said okay. After over an hour, still no food. I was told at that point, it would be a further 15 minutes. I was furious, but returned to my friends. After thinking over, I asked to speak to manager. She rather unwilling, I felt, refunded my ticket and said she would still bring my lunch. By this time meeting was over, my meal when it appeared had to be to go. Chicken friend pastry is not very good unless it is hot. By the time I got home, it was barely warm. This is not an acceptable experience for such a famous restaurant. But similar to my experience from previous visits to this location. I don't know if it is just this location, but my visits to other locations have been nothing but wonderful!

Hello, we have loved visiting La Madeline for years. We had our first meal out since Covid-19 at La Madeline. Very disappointed. My potato galette was terrible. Worst ever had and it was supposed to be the highlight of my meal. Lacked in presentation, taste and texture. Under cooked and dry. Seemed like a day old potato galette. Put a damper on our first meal outdoors since March. I usually finish my plate, but this meal left a lot to be desired.

I ordered 2 ham and cheese soufflé and when we got home and sliced into it the bottom crust was wet and soggy

The restaurant was too cold. It was 59 degrees outside. The soup was warm.
