la Madeleine

I had not been to La madeleine for years. But I have always loved the taste of the food and French atmosphere in America. I grew up and am originally from Europe, so I love the taste of the past. La Madeline brings my childhood back to my senses and memories. The lemon tart I ordered, at this location, did it for me this visit. It was very tasty. Also the staff I noticed from our interaction were extremely friendly and enjoyed helping me with my selections. It was very nice of them to do this one gesture. when they found there was no bottle-opener to open my Orenjena. I thought of it no problem and I exchanged for an orange juice. Oranjena definitely brings me back to my childhood and my time in France and the Netherlands. My favorite part of crossing from Calais to London was drinking Orenjena as a child. Anyway, I was very complimented for the server and the manager to give me a complimentary Orangina, after making a huge effort to open it for me and find a bottle opener. This touched my spirit. Thank you so MUCH! I loved this gesture.

My overall experience at la madeline was wonderful because of the great service. The food was amazing! The building itself is beautiful! Our food was served to us in 5-7 minutes after we ordered. I deffinetley sould recomend to any family and friends!

I stopped in last week and this and was fairly satisfied with the speed. The only thing I could suggest for today's visit that was lacking was to offer to heat up my pastry and I had to go back in to get a napkin, which should have been given without asking with a to go order.

The restaurant is consistently excellent in their service, friendliness and efficiency.
