The service was appalling! We only had one quiche and 2 hot teas. We asked to share the quiche: no separate plates were provided. We asked for bread and 3 slices of 4-day old stale bread were dumped on a plate too small to hold them and jam and butter was simply put into my hand as I was sent on my way!!! Not service we are accustomed to in the many years we have been coming to this restaurant! Not returning!!

Order was wrong. No coffee at 10:45am and when I asked for fresh coffee the staff looked at me like I handed them something awful instead of a half-full coffee mug. 3 of the staff UNFRIENDLY. Won’t come back to this location.

Not sure why the chocolate almond croissants are never in the case anymore, I had to place an order for them. I was told it would only take 10 minutes, so I decided to wait for them. After 15 minutes I asked if they were ready, and found out in the kitchen, they had never even put the tray in the oven. Waited 15 more minutes and still were not ready. I decided to leave and come back 15 minutes and they were finally ready. The manager did give me one extra croissant for my trouble.

We ordered the chicken pesto crepe. We have had it many times and it is our favorite to order when we come for late lunch or dinner occasionally (most visits are for breakfast). We came pretty late (7pm) and the dish tasted good but it had barely any chicken compared to how it had been the previous times we had it, almost as though they had run out. Also the quality of the chicken was different, stringy and tough, again, like they were down to the dregs. I understand that can happen but I’d rather be told they were short of chicken, I could’ve ordered something else.

I stood at the pastry counter for about 15 minutes to order some pastries to go. The woman manning the counter studiously ignored myself and my family. At one point, I realized she was still helping a customer that was there waiting, so although she made no acknowledgment of anyone waiting, I assumed that she was busy. Once she completed with that customer, and as more people were coming in to place orders, she still ignored the counter. My parents and sister ended up getting tired of waiting and left. Those were 2 additional sales you lost. I finally asked her if she was actually working up there, at which point she turns to a man who arrived 10 minutes after me and asked him who was next. All it would have taken is for her to acknowledge the guests who were waiting. All of whom were waiting for the bakery counter. A person from the line even came over to see if anyone was dining in, no one was, so they just walked away.

The wait in the line for picking my paid order up was 15 minutes long. The entree was great, but the 2 sides were not. The mashed potatoes were dry and extremely firm. The almonds to put on the green beans did not get packed, so we ate the green beans without.

I had wonderful experiences with this restaurant and high praises for the food BUT on this date, after serving our guests one of them brought to me their plate with a pretty long FINGERNAIL in their chicken. I have never been so embarrassed to have served that and I can't imagine any one losing a nail and not realizing it. Even if they didn't know where it came off, if you are working with food to serve to customers, throw out the food and start over just in case. I don't see myself EVER ordering from you again and it is a shame because the food was usually so good.

I didn’t receive my entire order. I was told it would take an additional hour for them to make more while I had 30 guests waiting and enough food to feed 9. I was put on hold for over 30 minutes and had to go out and buy additional food at a local restaurant.

The manager was constantly yelling at the employees and argued with a customer while we were waiting for our to go order. The quiche was lacking in cheese in the cafe sampler order and the croque monsieur was barely coated per normal French sandwich. The napoleon was dry and fell apart when eating and the almond croissant was over baked and very tough. La Madeleine was our choice for many years but this location has fallen down and I blame that on the manager because the employees are polite and trying very hard. And this was my wife's birthday meal that she chose based on the years she lived in France.
