I extended my massage time since I had kept my membership during the shutdown and thought I could use the extra points for the extra 30 minutes I added onto the appointment. I was told I could not use the points for the additional minutes and would have to pay $40. for the extra 30 minutes. I was shocked since I had not received services for 3 months yet had continued my membership because I wanted to keep your business going and thought I would have those points built up to use as I wanted to. She did end up giving me the points on a gift card and I think I then used those toward the 30 minutes but I'm still not sure because she was not able to explain it too clearly. I guess I will wait to see if I was charged through my visa to see what I ended up paying.

Overall the experience was good. The protocols in place were good business practice. The therapist did not apply enough pressure, thats all.

Provide better mask for the masseuse and esthetician. As well, probably better experience for the facial if the esthetician’s gloves are fitted.

I used to see James who knew my needs and understood the amount of deep pressure I needed. James is no longer a part of Hand and Stone, so I was assigned Jane, to try. I run into the problem every time I get a new therapist, of them understanding, that I can handle the deep pressure and need it for tension relief. She gave me pressure and when I asked for deeper she complied, but I can tell she wasn’t going as deep as possible.

I did not remember what treatment I had at my previous appt. and she did not know what treatment I had at my previous appt. it would have been helpful in my choice of choosing that treatment.

It was a pleasant massage, she just didn’t work on area I mentioned for too long, I said more pressure but maybe she thought no? Also extra for the scalp massage wasn’t long or thorough enough I feel.

I did not like the peppermint oil scalp massage. It left my head tingling for a long time and was very overpowering. I didn’t realize it would be so strong. The scalp massage wasn’t very effective in releasing tension. It wasn’t worth the extra $18.
