My original appointment was canceled. I was unable to get an appointment with my requested therapist for several weeks. Nothing was offered as compensation for the cancellation whereas I would have had to pay for the appointment had I canceled with that short of notice.

I asked the masseuse for a relaxing massage. I felt that it was more of a deep tissue massage. I did ask her to reduce the pressure at one point. I also need aromatherapy for my sinuses. It was provided but at a distance which wasn’t very effective.

Therapist was good. Everyone nice. When asked about the pressure I am used to, I said medium to firm. Cost me extra without me being made aware of the upgrade to deep tissue. Some pressure was too much.

Appointment was for 9am and started a few minutes later. Appointment was over and I was back in my car in less than an hour.

The online booking process is arduous, so I ALWAYS call the location and book with a human being to be sure I'm getting what I think I'm getting. Also, I find the $10 transfer fee annoying. I've pre-paid for the credit and it's mine; why should I have to pay to give it to someone else if they are WITH ME at the time of service (as in a couple's massage?) Also, I find the $10 PER PERSON "room rental" fee for the couples massage room annoying too, as I have been a solo customer in that room many times and there is never an upcharge. These small fees don't make your members feel valued. It feels very "nickel and dimey" to me.

I was satisfied with my experience at hand and stone. My massage therapist was amazing and listed to everything I asked. One issue I have had was getting an appointment. I know this location is busy so I know I need to plan ahead. The other problem is that if I have to cancel last minute because of an issue I get charged but I have had massages canceled the day of and have not received anything. It should work both ways. I understand things happen but if you are going to charge me for last minute cancelation it should work both ways.

The girl was one I had never had before. Very friendly. The facial was relaxing, however the neck & shoulder massage was less than satisfactory, and I would’ve liked more steam. When I got home I realized my nose still had the blackheads she was supposedly addressing.
