Hand and Stone

1. Product was sold out that I wanted. 2. I ordered a foot massage/treatment with my facial but, they called me and said they could not do it and offered a scalp massage instead.

The people here are amazing. They are kind, thoughtful, approachable, all the good stuff. THE ROOMS ARE ICE COLD. I am shivering the entire time - even during a HOT stone massage. I mentioned this after my first massage and was told it's just that room. And so I was SHOCKED when today's room was also ICE COLD. You seriously need to address this. This is the MAIN reason I would hesitate to recommend the place.

I was undressed and laying on the massage table waiting for my massage therapist to come into the room. I was done told that I was in the wrong room. I had to get up, get dressed, move to another room, get undressed and get under a blanket on a different table.

Emily was nice but seemed really new. She went through the motions but didn’t get really into the treatment. It all felt basic, somewhat hurried and just not all that thorough.

The actual time of the massage should be advertised so it is comparable to other spas. If you need to build in time for the consult, dressing and cleaning that should not be the time advertised. I know from the emails and brochures that the time of the massage includes those items, but that’s not standard.

First -- Britt (Massage Therapist) is/was fantastic. Super professional and very attentive to my needs. Definitely hope to work with her again in the future. My disappointment is with Hand + Stone. Booked a 90-minute massage, but 15 minutes is paid for but not received based on Hand + Stone procedures for deducting massage time from preparation. Cute, but not, in my opinion, professional.

I let the person know this was my very first facial ever. I expected her to ask me questions about my skin, explain what would happen, what products would be used, etc. None of that happened. She just did the facial (which was a nice experience) and that was it. I probably would have bought some products but nothing was recommended. No feedback about my skin either.

Overall, it’s never easy to get an appointment in a fairly short amount of time. Also, the company sends too many appointment reminders - texts AND phone calls. I told the girls at the desk (& have done so before) but it never changes. The front desk staff is far less superior/knowledgeable than the massage staff, in general.
