Hand and Stone

My massage therapist smelled heavily of cigarettes, which kind of killed the experience. While I felt relaxed during the massage, I did not feel as though my aches were properly resolved.

I asked for a FIRM massage and did not feel as though the service provided a deep firm massage. I asked for more pressure but did receive that quality. Other than the pressure, the service was good. As for my facial, this was my favorite service. It was very relaxing and beneficial. Although, I would have liked to know after the service which products were used. Both services were not completed for the entire time I paid for.

I went into the room to change at 2:54 pm and my massage got done at 3:45 pm. I felt like my massage was cut short.

The people were nice, super welcoming and helpful. I know companies prefer to get 10/10 surveys, and the staff has nothing to do with my less than perfect rating because they were all great--but there just wasn't anything exceptional about the service or the pay-more options available to me in my opinion. It just seems like a regular massage place, no real signature experience, or exciting specials running. It's great that the first massage is $80, but the company itself isn't giving the people that work there much to offer to improve or enhance the experience. Like fruit water is standard. Add ons are standard. Tell me about an add on or product package that's half off for the month or something. I've never been here before--why would I want to pay more for an ice globe massage if I don't get a discount on it or it's not part of an entry level gift or something. Great staff, beautiful facility, but nothing seemed special about the business or marketing.

Had a different massage therapist than my usual 2 because I booked a "1st available" w/ "any thereapist". This session was not as satisfying as when I am w/ Tiffany or Jax. Nothing inappropriate or bad but not as enjoyable.

The therapist was clearly talented and knowledgeable but didn’t really listen to my spoken priority of relaxing nor the marking on my checkin that I’d prefer not to talk more than needed. Did very little traditional massage (rubbing), odd for a massage marketed as Swedish, felt like a lot of the time wasn’t used very effectively and left sore from the manipulative work she did put in to my hips. Love the atmosphere, the front desk people are kind and capable, and have had better prior experiences so I still signed up for a membership but will try with someone different next time.

I very much enjoy hand and stone and the services provided. This particular visit, the provider I had wasn’t a good fit for me, but she was very skilled and knowledgeable.

The only issue have is appointments not being able for massages. Between two locations there were no massage appointments over several weekends. Availability for facials was better
