Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort

I was invited by my sister to come on vacation with her at the omni hotel. I had a really nice.time.in all areas but was a little disappointed in the lax of rule enforcement at the pool. there were people smoking around and even IN the pool and no one said anything to them. this happened by various people on various days and no one was ever Told to stop smoking. there were people playing loud music on speakers that was also very annoying and no one said anything. there are rules posted but it seems like nothing is done if you choose not to follow them. I also was making a special request through the concierge for a cake to be delivered to my sister in her bday and he said I should call food services so it was easier on him so he didn't have to fill out paperwork. I called food services and they said i should do it through the concierge, needless to say the cake never got ordered. I was sad I couldn't give her a little sweet treat for her bday.

Great weekend! Staff was amazing! Hotel was pricey. Food was average and very expensive.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful. You could tell that the hotel was older and the rooms needed some updating. Overall we had a great stay.

Still here. The renovation was worth the financial input, the pool and natural surroundings are very nice. It was cool and the firepits are a nice touch . Very sweet waitperson ( young Asian girl) with knowledge of the area was a pleasure this afternoon serving 6 of us for cocktails and appetizers.

The atmosphere and staff are wonderful.

we will never stay at this resort again nor recommend it. it was our first time at this place and it was very disappointing. we spent a LOT of money. we should have stuck with The Ritz!
