Hand and Stone

Therapist came to get me a few minutes past my scheduled start time and still ended 10 minutes ahead of the 60 minute window. I know the 10 minute window is there to allow for getting dressed etc., but there was no attempt to make up for the few minutes she was late bringing me in. Additionally the massage was very "routine" and the therapist didn't take time to focus on trouble spots as well as not providing a full body massage (areas were missed). It was also frustrating to know that I took the time to complete the paperwork ahead of time which explained my preferences yet she had to ask me the same questions all over again. Why bother with the paperwork then?

I’m not highly satisfied regularly. It takes a lot to really wow me. Everything was great during my visit.

Overall I like H&S in Hudson but there seems to be an issue with starting appointments on time. This visit I was not brought back to the room until 7 minutes past my appointment time. Yet my 1 hour massage ended promptly on the scheduled hour. I have an issue with lack of promptness especially on the 1 hour treatment - especially when no one acknowledges the delay or offers to extend the appointment to make up for the delay.

I wasn’t sure why there was a 17minute delay, however the esthetician acknowledged and apologized for the delay and was able to make up the time at the end of the Appt. It may have been a computer issue. I would appreciate more clarity regarding the rewards program. I’ve received conflicting information on how I can use points, and I also feel it’s too limiting (i.e. we should be able to use our points towards more devices and products).

I have received treatment from several therapists at this location, and Christian is by far the best! He took his time to consult with me prior to the massage. Throughout the massage, Christian checked in, and remained attentive. I have pretty deep muscle tightness (knots) and Christian had the strength and technique to deliver great results. I’m not sure where you found him, but I’d recommend doing what you can to keep him. Thank you!

Everything was fine at first, but I really had a hard time understanding the woman because her accent was very strong. She didn't keep the lotions and oils out of my hair so when I left my hair was a mess and gooey. I always was used to my head being wrapped with a towel and that kept my hair clean. She got products in my hairline and I had a showing appointment after that and I wasn't even given the opportunity to reapply my makeup. I had to do it in the car. The point is, I came to the shop to get a facial and relax, but every different step in the process she was trying to sell me a more expensive facial. I can afford it, but I didn't enjoy that.

The receptionist are always very friendly but they lack proper training because when I have asked questions about facials, I get ‘I don’t know’ as the answer. My massage therapist, Liz, is excellent. I’m disappointed prices will be increasing and I will have to decide to keep my membership or not.

Actual massage was about 45 minutes. Late start. Getting pillows for comfort delayed start, and I assumed time would be added at the end but it was not. Coconut oil used smelled rancid.

The massage was great and the employees are amazing and friendly I was just disappointed because the gift card I had which was a spa finder gift card had listed hand and stone as an accepting place for the gift card.. however they could not and would not accept the $40 gift card so that was a bummer

I like more massage to the face/skin. Although it was a good experience, I have had a more satisfying facial before.
