Hand and Stone

My massage therapist is very chatty. I choose to see her regularly because she’s a great masseuse. Since I’m friendly, I don’t ever tell her to be quiet, but it cuts down on my relaxation.

I feel the online booking did not give me enough choices

I wish they had more massage therapists to do prenatal massage. Unfortunately if she isn't available I have to wait a month or more. Otherwise I love my experience at hand and Stone and look forward to future massages.

The seating in the reception area was ridiculously low, as in for children or someone with dwarfism. I have a hip injury, which was part of the reason for my visit. I'm only 5'6" and it seemed like my knees were in my face. I can't imagine someone with longer legs trying to sit on those seats. Other than that, the ambiance was lovely and the receptionist delightful.

Diana did a great job! She tried not to pressure me with purchasing products or the package. The associate behind the counter didn't follow her lead, though. Overall I'm very happy with the experience, but sometimes people just want a service without feeling pressured to buy anything else.

The therapist was very knowledgeable about my needs! He was very patient and attentive. And he was very concerned about my relaxation during the entire massage.

I thought it would be more muscle work I felt the masseuse didn’t use enough oil/cream etc I was misled on price online

I had a massage as well as a facial the day I came. The facial was fantastic however the massage was unfortunately not enjoyable. I am not quite sure if the therapist knew what she was doing. She went from one spot to the next in no consistent order, and then back to the first spot etc etc. At one point she was massaging my arm with one hand and my back with the other. The pressure also went from super light to deep and i felt like her movements had no "purpose". Part of me wanted to stop the massage and ask for the manager but I never really know how to address such things. Its awkward. I have enjoyed my other massages at Hand and Stone with other therapists but will not be asking for this therapist again.

My therapist keep leaving. Lol! I mainly have massages and facial. I like to have a massage every mth, on a Friday as I do not wkends, but getting an appt with the LMT on the date and time I need is difficult. I have book out to Aptil 2023 to get the LMT i want at the time I I want her. I know its hard, but that would be the only reason to leave.
