Had a horrible experience today at this Big O. I've been going here for over 5 years and up until today, they've provided good service. My experience from today, however, was so bad I will not EVER go back. I want to preface by saying that I have had over $5,000 worth of work done on my wife's cars, as well as 3 of my own. I have had brakes done, suspension, purchased wheels and tires, alignments, rotations, etc. Basically everything they offer, we've had done on our vehicles. I usually like higher quality equipment then the OEM or lesser quality parts offered at most repair shops so I order my own parts (such as Bilstein shocks/struts or PowerStop/Brembo rotors and calipers) and bring them in to have them installed. Never in the last 5 years has this been an issue... until today. Had they just told me when I made my appointment that they would not install parts that I did not purchase through them, I'd say fine and find a new shop to do it. Instead, they took my appointment knowing that I was bringing my own parts, wait for me to take the entire day off so I could come down to the shop, then at the last minute decide arbitrarily that they now have a policy of not installing "customer parts"�. It's not like I hand crafted these shocks and struts on my own. They are the #1 manufacture of performance shocks and struts IN THE WORLD. Guess they we hoping I'd put their POS Monroe shocks and struts on my 2017 Explorer Sport. I don't think so. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. I'll never give them my business again.

I went in for an oil change and new battery. It took almost 2.5 hrs. No chair to sit on in the waiting area because the 4 they have were taken. The battery price was more expensive than other places and the warranty not as long, but I've been going to this shop for several years and the service is very good if the line isn't too long.

Came to the store on Saturday April 21st at 8:20am, was helped by Jason the manager. We purchased 4 tires in which we spent $516.00 and was told it would take about 1.5 hours and that he would call when the car was done. At 11 am we returned to see about my car, it had been ready since 9:20, Jason said he called but there was no answer. I never received a call, which ok stuff happens. He was rude and unprofessional when I asked about it. He continued helping someone else and Lee helped us. I was never told about rotation or tire warranty, you showed me how much you really cared about my business. I will never recommend your store nor come back. I am wondering how you would feel if you received service like this.

Well I was attacked by an employee last Thursday here we are on Wednesday and i was told the employee that said he was going to gill me nigger is still there working. I never got a call from the owner of the store. in fact, I had to call the store to get kind of an apology. I am supposed to return to get shocks put on but am very scared to go there. this review is one-sided and only post the good ones. since this is not important to the store my long-time customer KTVU Channel 2 has agreed to do a story as well as I am paying $1200 for a company to spread the story on every review board for the next 7 months, worth every dime! to have this all over the intenet Google add words will pot up anytime Big O Concord Ave is googled to share my story of being attacked and employees get no reprimand....this person wanted to kill me it took 4 employees to hold him back from attacking me. and the guy still works there and I never got a call from the owner or the manager. I called and one guy said to me oh I was going to call you but we are really busy! just can't get over nobody cares about this!!! all I got from Pier is "if I was there this would not have gone down like that" again not a real good place of business for our community.....if I can afford it I will hire those guys that stand in front of Mechanics Bank with huge signs saying be careful shopping here you could get attacked...can't afford every day but maybe every Saturday for a while.....Mr. owner, maybe you don't get that I am furious over this treatment...hopefully you get it soon! what is done is done! I will no longer after 20 years of bringing family cars company trucks and spending on just the repot I ran off QuickBooks over $30,000 in your store bring another vehicle or recommend as I have for years to go to this store! this store has a real low class of people working not to mention I just spent over $2000.00 on tires last week and 2 of my 4 center caps only had one screw which I lost the other two I called and they said that happens I said I will have to track down screws and they said ya you will, not bring it in let us fix it. Also thought I would let you know when I asked the next day if that guy was still there Pier said the manager Jason was not going to ask Johnathan to leave that he was scared of him. this is the last review I will post on this site the rest will be on public sites

Only drawback was that my appointment was at 11 and a "walk-in" right before me for their car serviced before mine.Why have an appointment then?

I was in the Concord Avenue store 3 weeks ago this Sat. for an oil change and various other things. I've been a Big O customer for 15 yrs plus and have always been happy; however, this time someone left the cap off the oil and I had a huge mess. Jason, the manager kindly called the Dublin store since I work in Pleasanton and they took good care of me. I went back to the Concord Ave store the following Sat. Oct 31 because they asked me to come back in so that they could check everything out. When I went in the man that was at the register basically could have cared less about what I was telling him. I told him what had happened and said that I needed the engine checked to make sure it was clean and I needed new windshield wipers since they had just been replaced the week before and they now had oil on them. I had to wait so long that I finally went outside and said I'd been waiting a really long time and was told "well we are really busy" and I said but you guys really messed up and he acknowledged that and then said he would look at my car next. I had also mentioned that I felt that I should get at the very least a free oil change next time. He finally came in, told me my car was ready, didn't say anything about being sorry that I had to wait or that I would get a free oil change next time. All he would have had to do was to act like he cared. You guys were the ones that messed up and he acted like he didn't even care.

Took my car in to have my tires rotated and have an oil change. I also had them check my brakes. They told me that I needed front pads and had to replace the rotors that would cost @$400 but I could make up my mind when I get back from SoCal. Took my car to my mechanic and all I needed were front pads, now and they were able to turn the rotors. Wasn't safe to go to SoCal. All done for just $250.

I had a Groupon gift certificate and told the person when I called for the appointment and I mentioned it again when I dropped off my car. They should have informed me before I came or at least when I got there that they did not take the gift certificate and I had to pay out of pocket when I picked up my car. That is horrible customer service in my book and I won't be returning.

I had two tires put on my daughter's car. It took a long time because, while the tires were done in a reasonable amount of time, it took an additional 45 minutes or so to wait to get the car on the alignment rack. While I appreciated getting the free alignment check, and having the alignment performed, I felt someone should have spoken to me about the reason for the delay. I had been sitting in the store waiting area the entire time. I had to keep going out to check the service bays to see the status of my car because no one was keeping me informed of the progress. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly and professional.

You get what you pay for. There is always some greasy spots left on the chassis after service and sometimes, you'll be missing a cap on one of the tires.

I have tried several Big O's and they all seem to be the same. There is always something wrong when I pick up my cars. Not major things and not always the same thing. They are known for their tire service and yet they all seem to forget things like checking to make sure when they rotate tires, to check the tire pressure. My work van has 55 psi in the front and 80 psi in the back. You know when you drive out that if they don't check, it is a hard ride. A bunch of little things.
