Used them for a tire repair and was then drawn to buy new rims and tires. Price was right and Marty was a big help. They did however forget to put my stock tire as a spare and I am waiting for a part for the new rims to go back in and have this done.

Big O in El Dorado Hills has been taking care of my basic car service needs for years now, and they were good enough to change the oil and check fluids this time too.As usual, I'm very happy with the work they did. However, initially they declined to change the oil, and have indicated they are stopping service on European cars going forward.[My Volvo counts as a European car in this context].I understand their logic to the extent that such cars may take more oil and be more of a hassle to work on.However I would prefer that the store charged me more for oil changes and continue offering the service, rather than discontinuing altogether. For sure I don't want to have to go to Niello for an oil change, which is more of a hassle to get to and will charge me more anyway; I'dbe thrilled to come back to Big O in El Dorado for oil changes if the service were offered again.In any case I want Big O to check and rotate my tires, so I'm going there every 5,000 milesanyway.But now I'll have to also go somewhere else for the oil change, i.e. will need to go to two places instead of just one.

I'm used to exemplary customer service from the El Dorado Hills Big O Tires location (which is why I always go there), but this time it was just average. For example, I originally asked for an oil change and tire rotation, which they did, within the time estimated, and put my car back in the lot. But then (and only then) when all the paperwork was complete, did the service rep tell me that my rear brakes were right down to the limit. I opted to have them replaced right then. Why not tell me when the car was being worked on the first time, so they could just keep right on working? Previously, that's exactly what other reps have done; saves time. Then, piecing together what happened with some guesswork, when my car was ready the second time, the service rep called out my name from the counter, but the reps generally were talking and laughing to each other so much and so loudly that I tuned everything out and didn't hear his call, or my cell when the rep tried calling it. My service rep made no effort to find me in the customer seating area, even though I'd specifically said I'd be there. So I sat there for another 20 minutes or so until I noticed my car was sitting outside in the lot, and asked what was going on. Of course part of this was my bad for tuning everything out, but again, previously in a situation like this, other reps come in the customer service area and call our the customer's name. Lastly, I asked the service rep about the service and he showed me a new whizz-bang test strip and color chart. Which is pretty cool. I asked about the anti-freeze part, but he couldn't interpret it, and got another rep to explain how it worked, and even to say what 'color' my anti-freeze is. None of which is the end of the world, but together they're enough to bring the normal five stars for customer service down to three. I assume the service itself (oil change, tire rotation and brake replacement) was all good, so overall I'm giving this four stars.

Service was great as always. A leak showed up after my first visit for a repair but when I returned I was immediately taken care of and fixed the problem. Thank you for quick turnaround service and always repairing my car needs.

I have been coming to Big O Tires in EDH for 5 years to service all 3 of my vehicles. The staff consistently provide outstanding customer service and quality workmanship. Trust is so very important. When I drive into Big O of EDH for service I trust them.

This is tough because the actual technical work done was fine, but there was grease left on the driver, door and on the carpet in the rear of the car that covers where the lug lock is kept. This is not the first time I have received the car with grease.

I specifically asked about topping off the fluids when I dropped off my car (2010 Chevy Traverse), and was assured that fluids would be topped off. The windshield fluid indicator was still on, however, when I picked up the car. It's minor, but it makes me question the entire job that's being done. Are they really putting a new filter on? Are they really rotating the tires? Any other fluids even being looked at? The lack of trust may force me to change where I take my cars for oil changes.
