Kind of surprised by the question "was I offered a free alignment" ... I was offered a pay alignment and notified that there would be a charge associated with the assessment of whether one was needed. The service fees seems kinda of high a $100 to install two tires. I'll probably just purchase my next set of tires at SamsClub moving forward. Big O definitely knows the product and was kind enough to remove lugs locks for another $60. The service people seemed friendly enough but it was clear that they weren't there to save me anything because there were no options or education shared towards that point.

Got a new tire installed earlier this week when I got the shell back they had broken the hubcap emblem and took no accountability its not hard to remove the hub cap they lost my business its a shame

I had an appointment but was one hour late. The manager said he would try to fit me in their busy schedule. Within 20 minutes the service was complete and I was driving home!!! Excellent service. Since I was late, I knew I was going to be waiting at least an hour.

Ben gave me a ride home and Unknowingly I lost my glasses in his truck. He showed up at my door to return my glasses. This is excellent service above and beyond my tire issues. Ben lives on the other side of town so went way out of his way to return my glasses. Best wishes to Ben and his family.

I took my car back to this location because 3 years ago they put the wrong tires on my car. Unfortunate for the current owner because he bought both good will and bad will 2 or so years ago. He called the corporate office and they agreed to replace the tires with the right model but Ben, the current owner stated he would not replace the tires for free but would charge me his usual rate/fee. Ben even charged me $18 to dispose of the bad tires placed on my car. I only learned of the problem when I went into a local Big O Tire shop, located in San Leandro CA., and that serviceman refused to rotate my tires and told me strongly that these high priced tires were cracking and he felt were unsafe on my vehicle. I would strongly recommend anyone go to a COSTCO or a shop that will be in business long term and with a ownership that would stand behind the workmanship from current or past employees or owners. That is what business is about ... good will and bad will, it really depends on the current owner to make his business good or bad. I feel charging me his fee to replace the tires (1 hour labor) very bad business... so I will be YELP'ing the service I received when I find the time ... sometime next week.

To be completely honest I will never purchase tires from Big O Tires again. The quality of the tires is not the issue but the pressured hard sale for a wheel alignment every 6,000 miles is absolutely ridiculous. At this rotation the guy who was training the new guy who was serving me stepped in to pressure sell me an alignment. He lied to me and told me that manufacturers require a wheel alignment every 6,000 miles. I told him if this manufacturer requires an alignment every 6,000 miles you should have warned me before I purchased the tires. He then stated every manufacturer requires it. I have purchased tires over the years from a multitude of reputable companies and have never had this pressure. I have also researched how often manufacturers recommend an alignment every 2 to 3 years. Both times I have been in to have my tires rotated and balanced since I purchased the tires at the end of last year I have had this pressure sale. I had a wheel alignment when I purchased the tires only a year ago. Then they mark on paperwork wheel alignment declined. This is obviously a company policy to make customers pay for unnecessary work. I will be going back to Les Schwaab to purchase my tires they have always been honest and never tried to sell me unnecessary work.

I called Big O. Because they had 4.9 rating and thought it would be good. . . .How wrong I was! I called for alignment for a Lexus. The lady said 2pm for the next appointment. I responded with do you have an earlier one because I have other plans. She said bring your car in between 1030 & 11a.m. I said great I'll be there by 1045. I arrived at 1041. I left Big-O at 2:31!!Totally uncalled for (4hrs!) Big-O said Lexus take longer. I said I know. . .that's why I told you what car it was!! The counter person told me about an hour! Way off!! Once they were done aligning it they had to rotate the tires. . . . HOWEVER, the two racks that could accommodate my car were taken. One was a customer's car. The other rack had a van or truck that had an engine in it for one of the workers car-Mario, I believe. Piss Poor communication and customer service if you asked me. So now I had to wait even longer. I wanted to spend some time with my daughter before she went off to college- it was her last day at home. Also I'm a 100% disabled Vet-so not easy to wait around for 4 hrs!! And time I won't get back with my daughter! NOW, I have to go pay for the car and the guy tells me oh by the way you need a NEW RACK AND PINION FOR YOUR FRONT END!!! $737.00 for the part and 2 hours of labor at $105 a hr!! So why in the HE'LL DID YOU DO THE ALIGNMENT???? BECAUSE WHEN I PUT A NEW RACK PINION, I'LL NEED ANOTHER ALIGNMENT!!! SO I'LL PAY FOR ANOTHER?? TOTALLY LUDICROUS!! I took my car to a friend he put on his Lift to get his opinion. He did say i needed one; but he said why did Big-O leave you rubber boot on your car all twisted up?? I looked and it was all twisted up!! How lazy. . .he adjusted it for the alignment and never bothered to untwist it! Plus I needed outer tie rods! I like to get a full refund- terrible experience at Big-O Vacaville!!
