I am sad that I had a not so great experience here. I had a flat and had to purchase a new tire, when the tires had been purchased there just a few months prior. The staff was less than friendly, I felt rushed (I was not aware they were getting ready to close- I would have been happy to leave the car overnight as my husband was meeting me there.) When asked if I had driven in potholes, it wasn't so much a question as an accusation. I then asked if the tires were actually decent quality, and the staff member was very defensive. I wasn't trying to be combative (my tone of voice indicated that I was not upset- I was simply asking a question regarding the safety and quality of the tires on my vehicle). I wish that I wasn't treated less than respectfully, while my husband arrived and was treated with respect. Not what I wanted to experience after recently spending a considerable amount on tires within 3 months. I also have an issue with the idea of purchasing a warranty for the tires- if it's a good product they should be replaced- end of story- but that is not an issue with Big O- that's an issue with the tire company itself. I hope that this is a one-off instance as I try to support local establishments.

Very pleased with the service I received and the problem they found. Had no idea and looking forward to them fixing the problem when they get the part in.

The staff was friendly and pleasant, and called within a few hours to confirm that I needed new brakes. On this call, they also suggested I get a new battery and new air filter. I authorized the brakes and air filter, but declined on the battery. When I picked up my car the next day, I discovered that they had indeed given me a new battery anyway, at about twice the price I have paid in the past for car batteries, and charged labor for its installation. I was disappointed and angry that they had blatantly disregarded my instruction, causing me to pay twice the price that I was expecting for the services I actually needed and authorized.

I had to show the staff how to remove my centwe hub caps. My online appointment and that I spoke with Dave on the phone before my appointment, they didn't know I had an appointment when I arrived. So I was told I'd have to come back for the "free" alignment check after I purchased 4 new tires that were installed because the one guy there is leaving work. I asked if the alignment is free he said yes. Then we got into a slight argument because if my cars alignment is off, I have to pay to fix it. Well, that's not a free alignment check. A free alignment check is whether or not my car is aligned or not, the outcome should be of little consequence to me. Just knowing or not is what I wanted with a "free" check and peace of mind. Forcing me to pay if it does need one is not free and it sets big o tires up to just make money whenever they want by saying it needs an alignment. It traps people and who trusts mechanics? Ridiculous! I'd trust mechanics more if they didn't scam and force you into payment like this does.

I had my tires rotated and when I got home one hubcap was missing. When I went back to the store to check to see if they had it, the manager said it was because they were "aftermarket hubcaps". No apology. They had been on for over a year so I don't think the problem was the hubcaps. If there is a problem don't blame the customer.

Has this company changed ownership? Didn't seem like the same place. Only one man (cashier) smiled and did his job.

Mysteriously slashed tire suddenly appeared when the car went in for an oil change. Emergency tire purchase required....but not at Big O...they have lost my trust and my business.

I generally go to Big O Tires to get my old tires taken off and new ones mounted. Price is cool. People are usually pretty nice... Now I've never been greeted. Today, I was greeted by Jesus. It was the first time I've been input into the system, this doesn't matter to me but I was thrown off when asked for my information. Not a problem. A gentlemen came in behind me... I was put off to the side immediately. Not sure why, knowing this job wouldn't take more than a couple minutes. I wait... Jesus comes back in to tell me the wait will be a hour and a half to dismount the old and mount 1 new tire. As I've stated before I've came in a bunch (I live less than a mile away) AND I'm usually in and out in no more than 10 minutes. Before leaving , I went inside to read/take a copy of what I signed and I was refused the "work order. " I ended up getting the work done @ Tire Express in Linda Vista right down the street. Price is slightly cheaper (it's not about the money), they treat customers/guests like normal people, work was fast...service you would expect. I work in the automotive industry.. I'll never recommend big o tires to anyone every again. Thanks for your time. -Shane

I have leased Maserati Quattroporte and it needed new tires prior to the lease return. Instead of paying Maserati to do it, I decided to pay a local business to do the work. The cost difference was negligible Big O $1,627 vs Maserati at $1,685. I just needed 4 new tires, no alignment or balancing as I was returning the vehicle. I brought the car in around 3:30 in the afternoon and after waiting well over an hour, I asked the service professional how much longer it might take. He went out sand told me maybe another 20 minutes so I continued to wait. Another 15 minutes passed and the power went out. I had to go up to the service clerk and ask him what I should do. He said that they close at 5:30 and they won't be able to finish tonight. So I asked when I could pick up tomorrow and he said that they'll call me. So I proceed to take a $20 UBER ride home. The next day I get text or email (don't remember which) saying my car is ready. I am at work so I find a time in between appointments to rush over and get it. Again I have to take UBER and this time it is a $23 ride for a grand total of $43.00 just to get home and then pick up my car. When I get there I pay and rush out to drive back to work as the car was ready. I take a quick look at the tires and see the wheels just totally, greased up and dirty. None of the 4 wheels had been rinsed off at all. Grease, Grime, hand-marks, I mean just awful and embarrassing. I ask the clerk, Sean, who had been in charge of the process and he walks out and just tells me that they don't clean off the wheels and that is normal to have them all greased up. I express to him my disappointment and disbelief but have no time to stand and argue with him as I have to get back to work. He offers nothing as far as wiping off or cleaning the wheels or tires they just put on. So after two days worth of time and UBER rides, I finally drove back to the office with messed up wheels and tires. The total cost was the same as what I could have gotten at the Maserati dealership with zero hassle. The reviews at this location are far from great but I gave it a chance and it cost me time, money and frustration. I have not yet had the time but I will also review on YELP and Google. This was an overall terrible experience. Wish I had just paid Maserati to do it.
