Big O Tires

Much improved when compared to prior visits. Future visits more likely.

Had major steering work done a few weeks earlier. Had no worries this professional team would correct a concern I had with adjustment.

The team at Big has been our stand by for years..always good on price, but ever now and then needs to do better on determining true cause behind a repair. Replaced valve cover gaskets on a relatively new car....that was not the cause of an oil leak...it was (and still is) an Oil Filter Manifold. Probably running the car a bit after a wipe down would have shown that. Just a bit too fast on the find and fix ..push them through ...button.

As in the past, appointment getting was easy, they are quite accommodating, and had my oil change done in less than an hour which is greatly appreciated! thanks guys and gal! :-)

Very disappointed after the level of service I had received before

I'm always satisfied with the service and I'm always given coupons to make it even better.

They were quick in service but they didnt advise me the right type of tires for my car. I wish had told me that hybrid cars have their own type of tires.

USED THEM THIS WEEK AND THEY WERE EFFICIENT AND VERY FRIENDLY.WOULD DEFINITELY GO THERE AGAIN.

I went there about 2 years ago had a great experience to get tire service on my F450 (this truck is parked in a garage and covered year round in mint condition). The shop has changed ownership it seems. Not any shop will work on these as they are G rated at 110 psi. on 19.5 rims. I had to replace one; upon checking the work the rim had large gouges, owner kept telling me not responsible for scratches, this was far beyond scratches. There are several other same complaints on Yelp.

I bring all my cars to Big O of Carlsbad, priced fair and knowledgeable They also have great specials on tires and service I would recommend this store to anyone

I purchased 4 cooper Zeon RS3 TIRES FOR MY Mercedes Benz E350 IN April 2015, I was told these were 50,000 mile tires. In Arpri 2017 while having my annual service at the Mercedes dealer I was told the tires were down to 3/32, The tires only had 18629 miles on them. I contacted Big O tire on State street in Carlsbad Ca. The manager asked if I had the the tires rotaed every 5000 miles, I told him the tires were rotated annually when I took my my in for service at the dealer, about 8000 to 9000 a year, I mentioned the tires were wearing even all the way around and no signs of uneven wear. His comment sorry can't help you. I was extremely upset especially having the road hazard coverage and the managers attitude. Bought new tires at Evans tires and very happy their customer service.

I just bought new tires last Saturday and had my alignment corrected. I was very please with the service and the tires are excellent. I was also happy that I have a alignment service that is good for one year if my alignment has to be adjusted again. Thanks for providing the tires and service I needed.

I have been coming here for years now. Not always the best customer service but I try to support our local business. Yesterday I found the plug (picture provided) sitting on top of my engine. I took my car to Honda ( I have a 2018 Honda with 10,000 miles) and they told me it was a transmission plug and asked where I had been recently to have my car serviced. I had let them know the only place was Big O tires in Carlsbad in December. My car is brand new and does not need service often, just oil changes. They advised it would be $105 to service the transmission since I had driven 1,500 miles since the last service at Big O. They advised taking it back to Big O to discuss. Following their advice we went and Brent the owner was there to service us. When we showed him the plug he quickly told us it was a boat plug. I then let him know I had gone to Honda and they had let me know that it was for my transmission. They do provide courtesy checks for my fluids during my oil changes but Brent rudely said that they do not do that there. I luckily was with my husband as it turned into a heated argument with Brent the owner ending it by telling us they are not responsible and to get the f*!k out of his shop. He would not even come out to look at my car! While walking to our car and still exchanging words from the office the workers were laughing and when my husband asked what they were laughing at they replied "we can laugh at whatever we want!"� I have NEVER felt so uncomfortable in a professional business or from what I had thought was a professional business. I can only imagine what would have happened if I had gone alone! I highly recommend finding another local business to support. For the mistake that they made and for it only costing $105 to service they have now lost the business of myself and my other family members that have been going there for years. I have reached out to corporate to make sure no one else is treated like this at this poorly run establishment again. No owner should ever treat his customers with disrespect and foul language no matter what the issue is.

Purchased tires at Big O and was getting routine complementary tire rotation.

I called and make appointment Brett who answered the phone had a zero personality.When I entered the store Brett was on a personal phone call and he kept telling person on the other end he had to go that he had a customer but they didn't care they just kept talking. When Brett finally got off the phone he didn't greet me all is said was what are you here for.I processed to let him know. Brett called me one hr to let me know the issue quote etc I ask him to go ahead and fix it when I went to pick it up it was making the same noise so I ask him to keep it overnight for a cool start I ask him do you think it's a transmission concern he said no. Brett called me at 10am the next morning saying that it's a transmission concern I ask for 150 back because the car was next fixed he said ok he would just put the old belt back on. Brett never called to let me know it was finished I called and the last at the desk was rude and said he was unavailable but my car was ready. My husband and I proceeded to Big O tires.We were helped by the rude chick st the front desk she only wanted to give me back 24.95 not 150,00 after I was told I could get s full refund.We ask to talk to the manager she said he was unavailable she left and came and said I can refund you 105.00 back we took it worst customer service ever I also was told I could drive my car all the way back to Northern Ca with that noise and I be ok. I have worked st dealerships for years and I know that's not true.i have mt vehicle at a reliable place had we speak

We had gone to another store, told 3 to 4 hour wait. Next on the list, yours. Good service and done right away. Oh yes, excellent price.

Turns out I need a new power steering pump, although Big O didnt tell me that. Just changed the fluid, and I discovered it when I left Big O. Also time for rear brakes.

I would give ZERO star if I could, These guys are the biggest Crooks, they give you one price on a Brand you ask them to ,than they said the tires will be here tomorrow, I take off time from work to replace the tires they said they got the wrong size and postponed the appointments the next day, next day comes they said they have the tires go ahead and come , I again took a time off to go there ,when i went they have Printed a work order which was all totally wrong prices on each item than have told me over the phone that I have written down, Plus++ and +, like $15 dollar of each tire to mount and balance them .+ Plus they added $3 dollars to each tire price on top, they also added $10 dollars to a wheel alinement price on Top they had the wrong brand of tires than i have ordered ,these tires that I have never heard of it in my life, their excuse was the tires on my car were more expensive ,we are sorry . it is bate and switch. I will never go to this shop ever. place looks like from 3rd World filthy, owner is there but he did not care that they have done all this. BAD BAD all around, other Big O's are better, just do not go to this shop.

Walked in and the girl at the counter was super nice and the guy Jeff in the back is a great guy. Always greats me when I show up and is an extremely friendly person. Overall great experience each time I visit Big O on State street in Carlsbad
