Big O Tires

First time in many years I was disappointed in my experience with Big O. When quoted the price for 4 tires I asked if it included everything that I have always purchased with my tires and I was told it did. I chose the tires that fit our budget. When checking out I was told there would be an additional approx $90 for warranty. This is something I have always purchased and had been included in previous quotes as was shown in receipts I provided during the quote phase and the checkout phase. I indicated I could not pay any more as I simply could not afford any more. This was ignored and I was processed out with no explanation or acknowledgement of any kind. I have never felt that cold of a feeling in this store ever after 20 plus years of loyalty. I have to believe this is an anomaly. I have previously always felt this business as 5 stars across the board but was very disappointed this time.

Very disappointed! Used to be a good running store with great customer service. Now the customer service is terrible, it took twice as long as they said to just rotate the tires, and they will not honor the tire warranty. I bought the tires about two years ago and faithfully have had the tires rotated by them. They always told me everything looked fine. When I went in the other day they said the tires and warped and the warranty will not cover it because I did not have an alignment done annually (which no one has ever said I needed). Also, we bought tires for three other vehicles and we were never told about an annual alignment with any of them. When I mentioned taking my business elsewhere, the lady at the counter said "ok" and handed me my receipt. What a change in the quality of service! They used to be great and we recommended them all the time to family and friends. Unfortunately, I can no longer encouraged anyone to go there.

Drove over 2 hours to have a trailer hitch installed on a 2017 VW Alltrack. Talked to two different people over three calls to make sure they had the right hitch. I was repeatedly assured they did and set up an appointment to have the hitch installed. Upon arriving at the store they took my car to the garage and began to "install" the hitch. Over an hour later I was informed that they had the wrong hitch but that I could find one (not installed by the way) an additional hour in the opposite direction of my home giving me a lovely 3+ hour drive home. I told them this was untenable. As I called other shops in town trying to find the right hitch the manager offer me a $20 for my time and gas. I missed a day of work and had to make arrangements for someone to look after my child until I returned from beautiful Idaho Falls. Twenty bucks doesn't really cover it. Not to mention we were counting on having a hitch so that we could use our hitch based bike rack to take and ride our bikes at the end of the week. So, I'm out time, money and ability to use my car as intended for a biking-focused trip a few days later. I understand mistakes happen. I make plenty. But, my car is an all-wheel-drive car as I indicated multiple times to two different people. There is also an "Alltrack" insignia clearly labeled on the rear hatch of the car. I bought it in the United States brand new. I was told the hitch they had/ordered for my car was for a front-wheel drive car made and sold in Canada. 2017 VW Alltracks don't come in two-wheel-drive in either the USA or Canada. The car they ordered a hitch for literally doesn't exist. This is exceptionally difficult for me to wrap my head around how any of this happened without someone noticing until car has been on the rack for over an hour.

Fast service and they got me in same day even though I was planning to drop off and leave overnight for the next morning. Much more convenient!

Employee and his friend were acting really weird. They kept hovering near me and staring at me. When it was announced that my Pontiac was ready (tire rotation), the employee started making comments about how Pontiacs were crappy cars as I walked away. Super unprofessional. As I walked to my car, I saw them in the window waving at me (I had no conversation with them at all) while laughing at me through the window, like they knew they were trying to make me feel awkward and uncomfortable, and laughed at their success. I've never had problems at this location before (Idaho Falls, Idaho Location). One of them was wearing Big O uniform and had a goatee (he was washing windows at the time), the friend had blondish red hair that was longer and combed back.

We were there for over a hour and all we needed was to have our tires check and they took a long time to get the car in and check they need faster service

They were friendly, informative and very professional. They let me know a time frame and gave me the option to pick it up when it was done or wait in the waiting room. Upon picking up the vehicle I made a appointment for the following weekend which was quick and easy.

Had them rotate a d balance my tires... they vibrated worse.. then found they broke 2 center caps used plastic around bolts to keep them on... went to manager.. he said he'd get me new caps... never did won't return my calls... I ended up having to buy new wheels since center caps were discontinued... I'll never buy tires or have them do anything for me again...

We have been satisfied customers with Big O Company for many years. The shoddy work we received for our last visit was greatly disappointingly!! We barely made it back home in Star Valley, Wy.

VERY QUICK AND EFFICIENT SAME DAY SERVICE :)

I have been going to Big-O Tires in Idaho Falls for years. I have always been treated well until this last time. I had a Rough County Lift Kit installed on my 1999 Chevrolet Suburban. Upon completion I brought the vehicle to Big-O for an alignment. The car was aligned and I paid the bill. The alignment was not done in a total satisfaction manner, the casters were still off. When I picked it up the torsion keys were still way too high. I discussed with the gals prior to drop off to have them adjust torsion to level but that was not put on the work order. When I went back in to talk to them about it, the alignment person, who sales tires as well just tore my lift kit up. Told me how stupid I was for buying Rough County, they are garbage. Told me that I purchased the cheapest kit on the internet. This is false, I did my research for kits. It was totally inappropriate the manner in which I was talked to by this employee. Furthermore, the next place I took it to, reviewed the lift kit when they brought it in the shop as discussed and had some suggestions for me on fixes. Big-O could learn a lot from this other alignment shop. I have never been so discussed with the service provided. I try to support local businesses until they do me totally wrong and treat me in a manner that I would never treat my clients. I would not recommend and will not recommend further any Big-O store, I will shop for tires and alignments elsewhere in Idaho Falls.

I stopped at your store last night at 6:10 p.m. to have a low tire serviced. The door was unlocked, so I expected there would not be an issue when I walked in and requested service. Your website and your store BOTH advertise that you will be open until 7 p.m.; however, I was turned away with due to winter hours closure. When I asked if they could just top off my tire until I could return, I was told to find a gas station or Walmart. If youre going to close for winter hours, I would strongly suggest updating your advertised hours, or providing customer service at your location at the hours posted. Needless to say, I am less than impressed with Big O as a result of my experience. The next time I need my tires replaced, I will likely shop elsewhere.

Great costumer service

Came to Big O because they had the best price on the tire I wanted and that was a great start. Upon dropping off my vehicle I asked for White wall out, to have the old tires put in the back to keep and to keep my vehicle locked if parked outside due to business equipment inside. Upon pickup none of those 3 items happened, my bill wasn't ready even though they called me and due that they were busy I had to wait some time to get out of there. From the time I picked it up it pulled to one side and for the next week till I returned I had a extreme tire pressure fluctuation 10-12 lbs above and below normal pressure. I brought it back to them and immediately the service attendant blamed my sensors for the fluctuation and proceeded to tell me how he couldn't due anything about it, they were faulty; although they had worked fine with little fluctuation for the 18 months up till the tires were installed. Next I was told that my truck was out of alignment (although they advertise a free alignment check with new tire install, this wasn't noticed when I brought it in for tires a week ago) and my ball joints were bad (this truck is only 18 months old). I picked up my truck and took it to the dealer because if the ball joints were bad it would be warranty, the dealer found the front end with in spec and only had to due an alignment. Not a great start to finding a partner for my vehicle needs.

I have been with Big O in Idaho Falls for over 20 years and have been very satisfied. If something isn't done correctly, they immediately fix it at no additional charge. The folks remember me and my car.
