Was gonna take my vehicle here to get rack and pinion replaced. After seeing the prices for parts i realised they are doubling and almost tripling the price that any regular consumer can get the part for at a parts store. It even has the store part number

No experience is perfect and the lack of employee knowledge wasn't severe. There was just some confusion on how my buy-one-get-one-free oil change would be recorded/documented. There was also some confusion on how long the oil change would take as the day i made the appointment, the guy said 30 minuets to an hour, and on the day I had the appointment, the man there told me 1 hour to 2 hours. That's a big difference, as I had scheduled my appointment at 2 o'clock figuring it would leave me with enough time to get to work by 4 o'clock. This was a little scary since if it really did take more than 1.5 hours, I'd be late to work. In the end, it look around 45 minuets, which was good. The employee who helped me told me he was 3 months on the job, so some confusion can be forgiven, but it'd be best to know exactly what is needed when handling documents and timeframes. That is all I meant by they need more knowledge. Other than that, the experience was good. I really only came for the free oil change, since even though 100 bucks for >5 quarts full synthetic is the most expensive price I've paid anywhere (Usually pay $70 including labor), it's still cheaper than paying $140.

The mechanic that worked on my car was very polite and explained everything clearly and seemed to take care of everything in a timely manner

Company was behind due to low staff but oil change was still done in 45 min. Also advertised oil change with tire rotation but didn't rotate tires. Manager stated you have to ask for that. So probably shouldn't advertise if you're not going to do.
