Big O Tires

I brought my vehicle in for an 830 appointment for a brake inspection and possible tire leak. 2 hours later, I received contact letting me know what the diagnosis was regarding the brakes, but no update on the tires. I gave the go ahead on the brakes and was told it should be a two hour job, but to expect a phone call by 1 or 2, making this a 3-4 hour job. I had no problem with this. By 4pm, I'd still not heard anything, so I called to check in. I was told that the mechanic was mostly done, and just needed to bleed the brakes, and that it should be done within the hour. I gave it just over an hour, and came in just after 5. When I arrived, I was told that the mechanic was just about to bleed the brakes. I sat there for more than a half hour after that waiting. I brought my vehicle here because I'd brought a vehicle here before, and was happy with the results in the past, but this time has made me reconsider my decisions, and I have to say that I'm not sure I'll be returning again.

My tire had a nail in it. Not repairable and good price on new tire. Communication and service were all excellent.

I'm new to the area and was in desperate need of an oil change (I was long overdue!). I'd heard of Big O from a friend who'd said the prices and service were great so I figured I'd give them a try. When I walked in for my appointment, Pam greeted me cheerfully in spite of being the only person working the front -- I could tell it had been a busy day, plus it was 90 degrees and humid out, so probably a LONG day, too! She had me giggling within seconds and was a joy to speak with while waiting for the extremely busy mechanics to get caught up on their work to be able to take my car back. I ended up being there longer than expected because, again, they'd been slammed with work and were short-handed that day -- not only that, the whirring noise I'd been hearing recently while braking was confirmed: I needed new pads. I also knew my tires were old; according to my mechanic I needed new ones all around (4WD). Bleck! Bad news...but they were so nice about it, and I ended up getting a discount on tires because the ones on my car he didn't have in stock. Score! For being as busy as they were and scrambling to catch up, I was treated very well. I will definitely be making this my oil change/maintenance provider for my car.

They were able to get me in right away with no appointment and able to fix my tire with a patch in about an hour.

It appears there is a high turnover at this store. To keep good people, you may have to pay a more competitive salary. Just a suggestion. thanks.

The communication during the service was excellent. The associates were terrific in every way. The only thing I think I would change is to have tea or hot cocoa, etc available and maybe a snack machine. I'm not a coffee drinker. The soda machine is fine but access to snacks would be nice as well.

I have had good experiences with the staff the three times I have been there and they seem trustworthy. I appreciate what they have done every time I have called or come in for service.

Service was great, however, it took much longer than I was told it would take.

They got me right in and had me back on the road with 4 new tires at a good price in less then their expected time to complete.

The person at the counter know cars and correctly diagnosed the condition based on my description of the squeaking noise plus a previous note in the Big O computer about a wheel bearing needing replacement soon. They replaced the wheel bearing, and he showed me the part and how it was squeaking by spinning in. He was knowledgeable and friendly and took an extra 30 seconds to show me the part. I thought that his action of demonstrating how the old part was failing showed interest in his work and customers.

They didn't balance the tires correctly the 1st time - had to bring it back in for re-balancing, which worked.

Very friendly and understanding to my problem. Easy to understand the explanation of the problem.
