Big O Tires

I went to Big O to have an alignment done on our van. The day before I had 4 new tires put on that same van by a local business near my home. Within a few hours of leaving the van at Big O, I receive a call from the mechanic informing me that there was wear on the back tires and should probably replace those tires. I proceeded to tell him that those tire maybe had 16 miles on them because I purchased them the day before. I requested that absolutely no work to be done on that van including the alignment. Later in the day when I went to pick up the van the counter man started to charge me for the alignment; which I replied with the story; he then checked the tire wear test that he said indicated that the tires had plenty of tread. Big O did the right thing and didn't charge for the alignment.

Staff is very friendly and the service was done a very reasonable time frame.

Received an email, specific to my wife's vehicle, from Big O Tires for an oil change at an advertised price of $24.95. My wife's car requires full synthetic oil, so after waiting nearly 3 hours for an oil change and tire rotation I learned that in the really tiny print (too small for any human to read) that the $24.95 didn't apply to synthetic oil. Instead, I was charged $44.95 for the oil change, plus $20 for tire rotation for a grand total of $67 and change after taxes. Unfortunately for Big O Tires, l now know I can go to Jiffy Lube or any dealership and receive the same services in 30 minutes or less for just a few dollars more. Rest assured, I will NOT return to Big O Tires for an oil change or tire rotation, when I can go anywhere else for not much more money and save 2 hours or more of my time. Very unfortunate experience during my last visit to Big O Tires on Jefferson Street in Jefferson City, MO.

I got new tires a few weeks ago. When backing up and turning to right made an awful noise. Took back next morning and they said "oh the plastic thing at the front of wheel well is lose. They zipped tied it. It will be fine."� Went back to KC and it was getting worse. Came back to JC Sunday and took it to my mechanic. He said the tires are a size to big and broke that plastic. The tires all were worn from rubbing. Took it straight over to Big O. The guy said "a size bigger shouldn't do that"�. When he calls me he said "that was really weird we've never seen that putting just a size bigger on. And the plastic piece we just shaved it down. It's no big deal. People come in all the time and have us take them off or shave them"�. First of all I'm not stupid and have been around and know guys who are mechanics and auto body repair and modifiers. I wasn't going to get into it with him and let him know he is full of crap and telling me this because I'm a female. No people don't just go have that removed. Yes people who put to big of tires on do do it doesn't rub! One, why in the hell did they put on tires to big? Two why do you not fix what you broke instead of giving me some bs fix job. When I go sell my car I want my parts right. I do not appreciate this st all and will remove my original raving good google rating. I spoke way too soon. Sucks I'm stuck with your tires for my warranty for tire rotations because I'm so mad I never want to go into another Big O again.

Greeted at the door and received prompt service. In and out in timely manner. Enplained service and gave printed copy of future work and time line.

I was charged a disposal fee after I told them I would be taking my old tires with me. Then somebody there took my tires they said they would call me back right away after contacting the guy to get my tires back. They never called and anytime had to make several calls two days later I finally had to make another trip in there to get my tires. I won't be back

Staff was terrific, professional and very courteous. I came to the shop at 4:30 p.m. on a Friday afternoon with a tire that had become flat after hitting a piece of rock on highway 50. they got me right in with the right tires and out of there by 6 p.m. I would definitely recommend to friends/family members!

I well be calling Monday. I have not had a chance as I work 13 hour days and have worked every day this week..I had my oil changed and tires rotated and I have special wheels they scratched my wheels which are black and also require a special lug nut tool which they never did ask me where it was located. My vehicle has leaked oil ever since. My husband noticed that it is all scratched up. I will never use them ever again!!!! My vehicle shakes which it didn't prior to having this service done it rides rough. Horrible

Been going to Big Os now for about a year. Always friendly and helpful but not pushy

I purchased 4 tires which they where prompt on putting them on. I was happy with the sales person and how they got them in for us since they where not in stock. When putting them on they called back saying that I had problems with the cars rods. Ask if we wanted them fixed at what I thought was an unreasonable amount. Told them no. Took the vehicle to my husband company truck garage. NOTHING was wrong with the rods. We did have to replace a back shock which they did not catch. Very disappointed in what has happen. This is the second set of tires we have purchased in just a little over 2 years.

Your employees are very special. They make you feel special also. They go out of their way to help you any way they can. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you.

I went to Big O on Christy Dr. in Jefferson City on Friday, April 1 (as recommended by a friend) to get an oil change and a new set of tires. I had made an appointment online the day before. I arrived at my appointment about twenty minutes early, and my car was taken into the shop shortly after I arrived. I was happy with this because I had another appointment later in the afternoon and didn't want to be late. However, after waiting for more than two hours, I still hadn't heard anything about the progress of the work being performed on my vehicle. It was around the three hour mark that the gentleman at the front counter informed me that my vehicle was on the rack for the complimentary alignment check and it should only be about five more minutes. Twenty minutes later, the same gentleman comes back to tell me that my vehicle needs an alignment. I expressed my irritation and let the man know that I had been waiting for more than three hours and I had another appointment to be at in less than thirty minutes. After expressing my frustration, my alignment was completed rather quickly. I understand that an oil change, putting on a full set of tires, and an alignment can take a fair amount of time, but good gravy! There is no reason it should have taken THREE HOURS for me to get an update on my vehicle! Not to mention a dozen other people came in, were helped, and left in the time that I was there! That store will never get my business again!

Andy Forck always treats us right and I like the way mechanic Brandon does a great job and takes the time to explain the problem and the best way to fix it.

I had my truck towed in on a Saturday. It was left there till 2:30 they called me and told me they got it started but did not know what was wrong with it in their main mechanic was off so I had to leave it over the weekend. They told me they fixed it to a point it needed it was either head gasket or cracked head. They called me Monday afternoon and told me the truck was ready I asked how much I owed and they said only the $45 from the charge for the tow. But when I got there they said oh I didn't realize but we charged you for a diagnostic then they told me there was a $20 charge added to my total charge because the bill was transferred from the tow company to my bill at Big O Tire. So they were going to charge me $20 for just putting $45 on the bill. The thing that pissed me off is they never said a word about the charge until I came to pay the bill. The manager whispered to the front associate that we can't charge him for a diagnostic if we didn't tell him but then when they didn't tell me about the $20 charge for the tow he came out and got smart ass with me and told me well we're going to charge you for the diagnostic since you don't want to pay for the $20 charge added to your total bill. Well needless to say you guys lost a customer and I've spent a lot of money in that store due to my truck being an old truck. Who's bright idea is to take a towing that someone else does and just because you put it on your bill your charging 20 more dollars how ridiculous is that not to mention not telling the customer before you do it. Then the front associate which its name is Andy said it wasn't his responsibility to tell me the total guy should have told me that why would the tow guy tell me when it wasn't him getting the $20 it was your company how childish and irresponsible and unprofessional is that

I used to go to Big O ladies day quite frequently. Well I moved and now drive only 2 miles each day. I needed an oil change and my husband volunteered to take it to Jefferson CityI call Andy to ace duel an appt and Andy was so helpful to both me and to my husband the next day. big O gets 5 stars!Thanks so much
