Big O Tires

I brought my dual axle boat trailer in after winter storage because my rear brakes were smoking. The diagnosis was the bearings needed to be replaced on all four tires. I requested a full inspection on the break system and confirmed the repair on the bearings. Upon pick up of my trailer I was given a thumbs up on the break system and was assured that I was good to go. After the repair, I was on my way home from a family boating trip when I looked in the side mirror to check on my trailer, smoke was billowing out of my wheel well. When I got out to see what was going on, my breaks were completely seized up and glowing red hot. I had to leave the boat and trailer in a gas station parking lot overnight to be towed back to Big O in Kaysville the following morning. I spoke with the service attendant about being assured my breaking system was inspected and good to go and that I felt Big O was responsible in part for this incident and any further expense that I would incur. He assured me that his shop was responsible for the bearings only and would do a thorough inspection of the entire breaking system this time. The result of this was my surge break tongue assembly needed to be replaced, new drums installed, bearings replaced again, and breaks were bled. Big O covered the breaks, charged me for the break drums, and surge tongue assembly, but did not charge me for any labor. It was appreciated by me and my family that they accepted the responsibility for their oversight on inspection of my breaks. Not charging me labor saved me hundreds of dollars on my bill & although it was a mistake on their part I will be a long time repeat customer because of how they handled the situation.

When I take my car in for and oil change and tire rotation, that's what I get. Other companies try to sell you services and parts you don't need. I have gone here a couple times now and will continue to unless that changes.

This location is in a prime spot and is really busy and parking is tough to find. The counter is extremely busy and some days it appears that Brad is overwhelmed. Could we get him some help?

It has taken us a while to find a mechanic we're comfortable with. We started going to Big O last year based on a recommendation from my Dad. We've started going to them for oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and mechanical issues. So far they've proven their expertise and have provided excellent customer service. We're glad to have them in our neighborhold.
