While driving my car down the road my car just shut off, very dangerous. I lifted my hood and noticed a nut was not tighten all the way on the battery. Had to tighten nut on my battery. Lucky I was not in an accident.

The staff is friendly, but not particularly helpful in terms of providing information or suggestions. I'm glad it doesn't feel like they are trying to upsell me, but I feel they could be more proactive. For example: No one offered a free alignment check after I had just purchased 4 new tires. I had to ask about it while I was paying, and have my car moved back into the garage. No one offered a credit card application, or mentioned the 12-month financing offer (which will help me afford my service). No one ever mentioned that my tires and service were eligible for rebates, and no forms were included in my receipt packet. Calling in the days after got me a bunch of "I don't know"s. There is no sign in the lobby offering wifi and no one mentioned it even though I was waiting for my vehicle; I had to ask. No one ever told me what the correct pressure should be for these tires. Previous tire replacement came with an advisory to come in around 5K miles to have the lugs checked. No one mentioned it. Is that even necessary? A bit of backstory. After doing some searching on the internet, I had been in to this location twice before my actual service appointment. The first time was for a quote which included installation and fees (information not provided online). The quote given was oral and only a ballpark, not really what I wanted. He never asked about my vehicle or commented on the appropriateness of my tire choice or made any suggestions. I felt like he didn't want to spend the time talking to me, dare I say it because I was a woman. I definitely got an "OK, little lady" vibe. The next time I came in was to check the availability of the tires I had chosen. I mentioned that I also needed the front brake pads & rotors replaced (not just checked). At this time, I finally got a written, firm estimate and scheduled the service. When I came in the next day for service, the brakes were not on the work order at all not even to check them. As a result, I wasted extra time in the lobby (beyond what I had been told) because they had to wait for the parts to be delivered. They should have been already been there based on my work request the previous day. When I got home, I discovered a hole in one of my Jeep wheel caps not a crack, a hole. Certainly wasn't there before I came in, and now I'm faced with the prospect of trying to replace that (not always easy on an older vehicle) or finding something to replace it on all 4 wheels. I also noticed that the prop rod was not in the holder under the hood. Curious, because the work order says nothing about brake fluid or anything that would require work under the hood. Brake pads, rotors and tires shouldn't leave me with the prop rod rattling under my hood. The prices are good and as I mentioned, the staff is friendly. I have the feeling that they know what they are doing when it comes to the actual work, so I will definitely consider them for future service. But it would be nice to feel like I have a partner in taking care of my vehicle, especially someone who knows more than I do. But I felt like it was all on me to pick out tires appropriate for my vehicle, ask for brakes, ask for the alignment check, find the financing and credit information, and find the rebate information and forms. Prior to this visit, I had gone to another repair shop and they gave me quite a bit of information about maintenance and repairs on my car, not just tires and brakes. They were also really friendly and low pressure, but their prices were a bit expensive for my budget. That's the only thing that kept me from having my car serviced there instead of at Big O. Beware your competition.

You're still charge me to switch over from mice winter tires two from my summer tires I bought both sets of tires a big overhead have never been charge for the switch if they were going to charge me the cost and labor they should've been upfront and told me that would be the cost instead of telling me at the time that my car was ready

I chose them to replace my brakes for a 2011 Honda Pilot. The brand they put on were supposed to be the best, meaning most expensive I'm sure, and they were terrible. We had problems with them right from the start. We took it back in to have them look at the problem, and to their credit, they replaced the brakes and said there was some kind of defect. However, they put the exact brand back on. SAME exact problem happened AGAIN and within a few weeks the car was back in the shop. They didn't tell me WHY there was a problem, only that they would have to put on Honda brand brakes instead. They should have done that to begin with. Each time I was in the store I was treated like it was my fault the brakes were not functioning properly. The staff addressed the problem, but they were very cold about it and very unapologetic. It was a HUGE hassle from the beginning. With two small kids, moving car seats and figuring out rides was a joke, not to mention the safety factor of having faulty brakes installed not once, but twice! I will not be going back to this shop for anything.

I've been to this location near Sugar House about 4-5x and I've received excellent service. The team never pushes me to buy services that I don't need done, and are always very honest about their work. I will continue to keep returning to them.

At first I thought that this location was doing me a favor by fixing my car that had a bad battery and alternator. After having my car towed to their location, they kept my car to diagnose it. They said that they could fix my car same day which I thought was awesome. When I picked up my car however the total was $700.00 for an alternator and battery!! They charged $100.00 just to put the battery in! I could have done that myself. Compared to other places that I called after, this was an outrageous charge!! If you are looking at getting taken advantage of, when you are in desperate need to get a car repair, then please go to this location!! What a joke of a business!! My Big-O days are over!

Really good folks there.

Pros: The people were kind, and the work was accomplished quickly. Cons: The waiting room smelled so strongly of tobacco smoke and exhaust that I had to stand outside while the service was completed. Also, I was charged for a flat repair which I've never been charged for that location. I do not plan to return.

It is the personalities behind the desk that bring me back, again and again. I feel like it is family. This 87 year old feels comfortable.

I have had two awful experiences at this Big O. The customer service is rude and nasty. I do not appreciate being talked down to on the phone about my car or how I am deciding to service my car. Additionally, the services here are ridiculously overpriced and low quality. I took my car somewhere else to service my brakes and saved over $250. Rethink your service quality and how you treat people before running a shop. I will not be coming here again.
