I bought a set of tires at another location a year and a half ago. Those tires needed replacing, so I sought out a Big O closer to my house to replace them.At my appointment, I was rudely informed by Mike that the stores are not linked, so any credit possibly provided for tires wearing too quickly was not possible and I should have told him that I wanted a credit before the service. I was not trying to be shady. I was used to dealing with Discount Tire that is linked between stores and offers credits for tires that wear out too quickly. After an unnecessary, crusty lecture, he gave me $40 off. I am not mad about the lack of credit as much as I am about the way I was treated. I love my tires and the price was great, but I will likely not return.

I dont understand why the labor was $40 for only two minutes of work. All they did was put the new tire on the old rim.

I received a quote about a month ago for a part I needed replaced that would cost $340, but when I came in to get it fixed, they later told me it would cost $1000 and that there were other issues they hadn't seen before. It was very discouraging and so I said I would pay for it and they said it would be finished by 6:30 that night. I later received a call that it wouldn't be ready until the next day at 10am, but I had work the next day at 10am and I'm a delivery driver so I had to tell my boss I'd probably be a little late. The next day I called at 9:30 and apparently it wouldn't be finished for another 45minutes, so I went to the store 45 minutes later to pay for my car and I waited there for half an hour, anxiously aware of how late for work I was. The reason for the wait... I'm not really sure. Apparently they had lost my paper work and the older man who helped me kept leaving or helping other people behind me until a younger man asked me if I was being helped and I said, "I'm not really sure" and then finally the older man got me a printed receipt and said they would email me the rest of the info. I was already losing $1000 and late for work, I was nearly in tears by the end.

I scheduled an appointment online with a coupon you advertised for a oil change, tire rotation, alignment check, battery check etc. The alignment check wasn't done at all. I had to ask for a tread depth on my tires and brakes which should have already been checked but was not. Was also never told how my battery was. Somehow the price was advertised for 69.95 but ended up being around 88.00

Came in for an adjustment to my alignment and left with my alignment worse than when I brought in my truck

My wife went in for an oil change and asked for the healthy car special that we used to get and they said a conventional oil change wasn’t possible for my car or something and so she was charged $140 for a synthetic oil change?! The healthy car special is normally a “deal” and they didn’t offer her any discounts or anything. I feel like they took advantage of my wife because she isn’t super familiar with my truck or mechanical work.

I’m not sure that a total 100%price was quoted but I asked the four tire price, emission test, oil change, alignment price (which it didn’t end up needing an alignment.) I paid $100 down to have the tires ordered. Was told they would be here the beginning of this week. Finally called Thursday and they didn’t know where the tires were. I was offered a different set of tires that were in stock and they would still honor the free tire. I was impressed with that. When my total came to like $560 that’s around what I was thinking it would be without the alignment charge. Wasn’t until I got home that I realized that total of $560 didn’t include my $100 deposit. I was charged for all four tires to be balanced? ($80) Seems like that would be something normally down for free if I’m purchasing tires. I was also charged for the tire protection plan and was never asked about it. There was also a TPMS rebuild kit I was charged per tire that came to another $20.

Really the biggest issue was that I felt like the manager at the front desk made me feel like it was annoying to him that I brought by car in to get fixed. Just overall didn’t seem very friendly. I wouldn’t want to go to that specific Big O again just because I wouldn’t want to deal with a bad attitude honestly.

On 6/8/24 49500mi I came in for a wheel alignment which was completed. I was told there was a 1 year warranty on alignments. However, driving the car I noticed that it pulled to the right. I had a new alignment performed on 7/12 51000mi at no charge. The car still seemed to pull to the right. I returned on 10/29 52500mi for another alignment and was charged again. The counter person said I didn't have a "package". They also did have the tires I purchased previously in their system. The 6/8 wheel alignment was also not in the system. I don't drive a lot so I think 3 wheel alignments in 4 months and being charged isn't very customer centric. I have the 3 wheel alignment reports and it begs the question why there is so much change in so little time.
