When schedule an appointment be sure that the client will have the service started on time. Mechanic should check at least break pads.

We purchased four tires ($1000) from a Big O Tire store in Evans, CO last summer. At the CO store, the salesman stated that the lifetime warranty for the balance/rotation was honored at all Big O Tires; nationwide. As recommended by him, at the 10K mark, we took the vehicle ('14 GMC Acadia) to a local Big O Tires here in Richmond, VA to rotate and balance the tires - w/ original receipt. The saleswoman said that there would be a charge for the balance/rotation, since we did not purchase a road hazard warranty. After some dialogue regarding what the road hazard warranty was [flats, nails, punctures, etc], she then shifted to say that she would NOT honor the free rotation/balance since the brand was not actually a 'Big O Tire', but rather a separate brand. I then called the original store in CO and spoke with the original tire salesman. He said with words to the effect of, "Of course, they should honor our lifetime balance/rotation..." I told this to the saleswoman at the store in VA, and offered to hand the phone over and she said that after reconsideration, she would allow it [rotation/balance] just this one time. I highly recommend that you review your policies and warranties.

When checking a car make sure we can advise what is wrong with the car instead of saying we believe or we can’t guarantee! I spent a total of $450 on Saturday for two tires and an alignment. When I left my car was driving worse than it was when I brought it there! I took it back in Monday and was advised I believe it could be the axle

Have a state inspector at the location. The large sign says State Inspection Due. I used the night drop to leave a car for an oil change and SI. I was called early AM and told they could not inspect the car. I had to go through the trouble of dropping the car off, taking my wife to work, picking her up, and going back to pick the car up. Now, I have to go through all that again another day at another service station. I was told I may need brakes to pass inspection. I declined, I may as well let someone who knows tell me for sure. Figured I may as well let them do the job, if it's needed. THANKS for a big WASTE of time BIG O.

I went to this establishment for an alignment and two tires, I told them if one of the tires in the back had a nail, to replace that one and put it in the front for better steering and they said they checked the tires and only recommend the front two to be replaced, however after I got the service done, I realized that there was still a nail in my back tire, and no evidence of any soap or water on the tire to prove that they had checked for leaks. Highly disappointed and had to go somewhere else to get the tire replaced because I felt like they didn’t try.

I had a mechanic look at my car before my appointment. The associate told me I needed a list of things that I already knew I didn’t need. The inspector gave me false information pertaining to Virginia law and rejected my inspection because I didn’t elect to get the additional services he said I needed, which are not a part of the inspection. He also said my windshield crack would not pass inspection but it has passed the last 4-5 years.
