I'm convinced the Memphis Zoo is the best zoo. Love getting to hear the keepers or see them feed the animals. I love the easy access of all exhibits. I love that is constantly growing and changing. However, the aquarium has been an eyesore and a painful place to visit for long enough that I've stopped taking that route. Hoping that once the Zambezi River Hippo Camp opens, that area becomes the focus for another new phase of growth and rejuvenation. Also, many of the directional and label signs were in poor condition as though regular maintenance (painting, retouching signs) has lapsed. Hopefully now that it's spring/summer, those things will get some attention, too.

My son first grade class visited the zoo today. We enjoyed ourselves, although I wish that the some of the concession stands were open.
