I'm satisfied, be satisfied. I can tell that I'm whipping a dead horse when it comes to talking about the Murphy stations being open 24/7. It makes sense, but why would Murphy start doing things that make sense now?! I pulled up to a pump the other night... all the lights were on... the pumps were powered up... it accepted my credit card... but would NOT dispense any fuel. That's just stupid. So... I drove about 3/10 of a mile and bought at Brookshire's for less money. Now, about Murphy stations in general-- MOST pump nozzles deliver fuel at TOO HIGH a rate. SOME nozzles do not have swivels. (What a pain!) A FEW nozzles do not have splash guards. All 3 of these things should be corrected on every pump at every location. Murphy stations should be open 24/7 to credit card customers. You know I'm right... JKM

Convenience.

First... I don't recommend locations. People will buy where they want. Next... just be satisfied that I'm satisfied. Now, as regards Murphy locations in general--- MOST pump nozzles deliver fuel at too HIGH a rate. SOME nozzles do not have swivels. (What a pain! On this trip, the pump nozzle did not have a swivel.) A FEW nozzles do not have splash guards. All three of these issues should be corrected on every nozzle at every pump at every Murphy location. Now, let's talk profit... IF, and that's a big "if", Murphy stations were open 24/7 to credit card customers (like Brookshire's stations are), there would be no chance of drive-offs and Murphy would make TONS more money. I'm just sayin'... JKM

There is usually a Brookshire's gas station only a short distance (usually less than 1/2 mile) from a Murphy station. When I need gas and Murphy is closed, I just drive the few tenths of a mile to Brookshire's and they get my money. If Murphy started keeping the power on 24/7 for credit card customers... the additional amount of money brought in nationwide would be staggering. Think about it. JKM

I just wasn't overly pleased to the point of doing backflips in the parking lot.

I'm almost never highly satisfied. On this visit, the pump kept shutting off. What I mean by this is that I was not finished pumping gas and the pump stopped allowing me to pump. I reinitialized the sale, continued my pumping... and it cut me off again. I have no idea why. My tank still was not full. I don't usually have this problem at Murphy and did not have it at Brookshire's. Now... at almost all Murphy locations--- MOST pump nozzles deliver fuel at too high a rate. SOME nozzles do not have swivels. (What a pain!) A FEW nozzles do not have splash guards. All 3 of these things should be corrected on every pump at every location. Here's a really big one... Murphy locations should allow credit card purchases 24/7. There would be no chance of a drive off. The lights could be on motion detectors, even on the individual lanes, saving lots of money from leaving the lights on all night. Think about it... it makes perfect sense, especially to Murphy USA. Everyone likes to make more money and Murphy would make LOTS more money. When I need gas and Murphy is closed, I just drive the 1/2 miles to Brookshire's... and give them my money. I'm just sayin'...
