On this particular day, for some unknown reason, after choosing the kind of fuel I wanted I picked up the nozzle and proceeded to put it in my gas tank. While doing this gas came out of the nozzle and when down the side of my SUV. Is there a reason that gas will stay in the nozzle sometimes after fueling? Had to clean the side of the SUV myself. Not the first time this has happened.

They were paving the road around the pumps and you could only enter and exit from one direction -- made me a bit worried about hitting a car as I backed out of the station once I finished pumping gas. Not a big or usual problem.
