The attendant calculated the amount for the number of gallons I wanted of the fuel grade I preferred. Then she charged my card accordingly. I have become increasingly afraid of paying at the pump due to fraud (I heard about scamming devices inside the machines, and that the machines can be opened by a key that is easily reproducible). So I now only pay at the register.
