I wanted a can of diet coke and there were none available. The cashier told me that they do not carry those so I had to pay a high price for a 20 oz bottle.

There is usually a wait at the register when I go in to pay. Cashier is either doing something else or talking to another employee. It was actually a little faster on this day than usual. I shop Walmart all the time and also stop in for gas there on my way home from work. There is usually a line ans a wait to get to the pumps which is no fault of the station.
