Gas-gotta have it

Very strange experience. Used pump 7. Entered credit card normally. Selected to print receipt. Fuel pumped normally. Pump showed I got $20.93 worth. Hung up nozzle after it shut off for full tank. Printer made typical sound like it was printing, but no paper came out. Thought nothing of it. Typical for out of paper, so I went to attendant and asked for receipt for pump 7. She said pump 7 showed credit card wasn't accepted and that I owed $15.xx. I said something wasn't right. I went and double checked pump number and total. Came back and told attendant same thing. She said pump 7 shows on her computer I owe $15.xx. She said she'd come out and look at the pump. She did and agreed I was correct that the pump display looked like all was OK and ready for the next purchase. I don't know how, but on going back she was able to quickly print the correct receipt. She didn't indicated she would put the pump out of order, or at least put in paper. I don't know how the computer system is synced to the pumps, but I wondered if this could be a scam where the attendant is able to convince and unsuspecting buyer to double pay.

I choose to pay at the pump so as to not have to wait in line, but the printer was not working so i had to anyway.

The price per gallon was the same price that everyone else paid. I paid $1.879 which was the listed price. The pump listed the discount for using my Murphy's card but I was not charged that amount. This has happened for the last 4 or 5 times I visited this station.

Getting in and out is difficult without any traffic control. Add to that the difficulty exiting the parking lot when coming from a side aisle.

I wanted to purchase a carton of cigarettes of the only brand/style that I smoke and there was not even 1 pack available.

The only issue I had was that the attendant was not very prompt at getting to the cash register but it was only because she was cleaning something. She could see a line but she did at least say it will be just one moment. I am also a very big fan of sales and when I was looking for a beverage the options for sales versus what other gas stations provide was not very selective.

I was dissatisfied because lines were long. Attendant did not seem able to handle crowd. But this is nothing new.

The price jumps up overnight. and on weekends, and go's down slowly. That is what I do not like it jumps up 20 cents and drops 4 cents and why do I have to go into Walmart to get a discount card when you say you're not affiliated with Walmart

I pressed for a receipt, I had to go to the checker to get it.
