Over the past eight months I had my oil drain plug left loose (to point that my truck was leaking oil), had my oil drain plug over tightened (to the point that a new oil pan was ordered, they eventually got my drain plug out by welding a larger nut to it), was told I need multiple parts replaced, when I took it to other shops all said only one part need to be replaced and had the lug nuts over torqued so much that when I had a flat I was able to get them off and had to call for roadside assistance. The lug nuts were so tight I bent the lug wrench trying to get them off.

Management that is focused on correcting issues rather than lip service. Complete and document work that is scheduled without error. Treat customers with proper respect.

Two hours after my oil chage, I had a large oil spot on my new concrete drive way. I returned, complained and was told that the service man started the job but had to leave so a new employee (who had never done an oil change!) was assigned to my vehicle to complete the service. The oil filter was not tightened! No one trained the new guy and no one supervised or double checked his work. I have done business...lots of business with Big O over the last 10 years. I will not return to the Elizabeth location even though I live just a few minutes away. And...they were not busy, the manager Jack told me that they were very slow. This was sloppy work with no supervision for a very simple job.

Original tire selection from website was backordered. Associate offered alternate, I found a better option on my own. Wrong size tires were ordered and installed on my vehicle.

I called to see if my slow leak caused by a screw in tire could be fixed. Very friendly over the phone and when I dropped the car off. Got a call a couple of hours later saying that I really should replace both rear tires and they gave me a quote. I indicated we couldn't do that right now and asked if the car was ready. They said yes and we picked up car. Later that afternoon the tire light came back on and when I got out to check the tire the screw was still in the tire - nothing was fixed. Additionally when I took the car to Discount Tired they said tires still had plenty of tread and mileage left on them (only 32K miles and warranteed for 60K).

After my tires were rotated I was handed my keys! The oil change had NOT been done. Reason I made an appointment a few days in advance was for an oil change! Then I had to Wait for the oil change. Several cars ahead of me. After I paid I noticed my car had not been set to show 100% oil life. Went and found some one in the Bay Area to reset this...normally standard procedure!!? Then I notice greasy hand prints on arm rest, steering wheel, door handle center arm rest floor mat ( drivers side) dashboard and outside of my clean car!!! Tires had different air pressures. Also an employee was standing and smoking inside the bays where cars are being worked on. Unacceptable!! Feel free to contact me to discuss this further.

I brought my truck in for an oil change and a flat tire. The oil was either not changed or not reset. The flat tire was rotated but not repaired seeing it was flat the next day. I returned the following day and was told there was no work order to repair a tire. I waited for 2 hours on my second visit. The shop had my truck for 4 hours the day before. I’m not happy I had to come back in to have 2 things fixed that were not fixed properly.

I told the service writer I didn’t want my tires rotated. I saw my security lugs on the seat and she approached me and said that they tried to anyways. She tried to tell me that I needed a transmission service when the liquid was clear, sell me 4 new tires stating that my lancer se was AWD after clearly telling them it was not and I had just purchased new front tires a month before, then telling me I need an alignment urgently when my numbers were less than a full point out of alignment. Then I heard the techs mock the fact that my car wasn’t an EVO. Like I get that it’s the slow version of a lancer but I still like it and the “not an evo” jokes are getting old.

Won't be returning to Big O in Elizabeth

Recommend work not discussed prior to leaving. Tire sensor not reset. Tires were at 19 psi after left shop, running on the sidewalk... absolutely not acceptable!

Unless it is a emergency and have no other choice to get a tire repaired or purchase i won't step foot in that store again.
