Gas is usually cheaper than the other stations around. We almost never have to wait in line. And we stop at a lot of other MurphyUSA stations in other states on our travels. We usually try to find MurphyUSA stations.

6/1/2015, I travel 12 miles round trip to buy Murphy gas. I live in Des Moines, Iowa. The Murphy gas station is six miles away in Altoona, Iowa. The gas in Des Moines is consistently 20 cents higher per gallon. It burns me to no end to be legally robbed like that. So whenever I can I take the trip to Altoona and save at least $2.40, I do. That still lets me save money since it only costs me around $1.00 to drive the distance. I'm glad there is a Murphy station near by.
