We live in the mountains and we say "it's run by mountain people". We feel sometimes that the business doesn't really care if we buy there. The attitude is that if we do (buy) that's OK, if we don't-so what. Customer service is not really experienced here. We both have worked in the customer service field for years-retired now-and we just don't feel valued as a customer as we both were trained to do. Employee's really don't understand that they have a job because of us --the consumer. Some may but most don't. Also being addressed by the name "honey" or "sweetheart" is offensive to some.

It was a typical day at the gas pump. The prices are higher than any of us want to deal with and I don't get excited about the experience.
