I paid with a Walmart gift card that I just purchased inside the main store, to specifically get a lower gas price. My 13 year old son and I stopped on our way home to purchase gas. It was late (just after 11:30 pm) when I began pumping my gas, when all of a sudden, the pump stopped working (it stopped at the amount of $2.50). All the lights suddenly went out, also, except in the attendant's cubicle. I was left there in the dark with my son. I went over to the attendant's window and knocked, but he/she was gone - in the back room, I think. I could see the money tray was out and empty, perched on the register drawer. I knocked on the side door, too, but got no response. I did not feel safe standing there in the dark, so I drove to the Walmart store across the parking lot and complained there. They said there was nothing they could do. There was no closed sign at the Murphy station and no indication they were closing. This was an UNACCEPTABLE situation. The attendant was obviously NOT attending to the customers.
