pump not accepting gift card

I used my Wal-Mart gift card to get the 3-can't discount. The Murphy station I used had the cheapest gas in my area, so I frequently fill up there. I swiped my card to start the proces, and then pushed the 87-octane/Lowest-Grade gasoline switch and started filling up. It wasn't until I was done and obtained my receipt that I noticed that it had charged me for the Mid-grade gas, which was about 20 cents per gallon more. One of the attendants was working on the interface on the other side of my oump, so I got his attention and showed him. What had happened. He said that he could maybe put about 30 cents back my cars, but acted like it was silly to,do this. Then I pointed out that IF the pump isn't acting right and chooses the other grade and therefore overcharged not just me but everyone else that uses it in a day, then that would add up to quite a bit of extra money over time. I would like to have you see to it that attendants take that seriously and IMMEDIATELY check the pump and take it,out of service if it does such a thing. I was very annoyed to paid MORE per gallon instead of LESS per gallon in the local area.

After I paid at pump. As the pump was pumping fuel into my blazer. The lights went out & it stopped pumping gas. I was told by attendant that it shuts off automatically. It was very disturbing & scaring for me. Last time I came the gift card was working fine when I put money on it to get gas at a better price. But at the pump it didn't work. All the attendant said was I would have to get a new gift card because magnetic strip was out. So how come it worked inside at Walmart but would not work at pump or when attendant tried on register???
