Murphy USA

During the last 2 weeks I have been unable to use the card readers at the pump. I have been visiting this and the Venice, Fl location regularly for over 3 years without having this problem before. My card worked at the inside machine. I complained but the cashier was without an answer. I have many other options that match Murphy prices and will begin using those options rather than being inconvenienced with Murphy card reader problems. I witnessed other patrons attempting to use their cards and having similar problems. No, I am not using a new or different card than I have for the last 3 years.

I had to physically go look for cashier inside store and walk around parking lot for 15min to finally find her to pay for my gas. She didnt apoligize for wait or me having to search for her. Highly unprofessional and not smart. The store could have been robbed and she would never known.

I used my Walmart credit card to purchase fuel. I did not receive the discount price on fuel.

I was getting cigarettes and I almost forgot to get Florida lottery tickets for my husband. I asked for two Florida lottery with extra, and then asked if I could get them on seperate tickets. The guy said "too late". Too late? Can't you just spoil them and give me what I politely asked for? He didn't even apologize about it. I would have been more apologetic if he would have just said sorry about that. I'll have to talk faster next time I guess.

There is always a candy or gum special at checkout. I grabbed two candy bars which were 2 for $1.79. They were scanned and I was charged $2.78 i told the attendant and she shrugged her shoulders and rang it up anyway. She handed me my receipt and told her again I was over charged she shrugged her shoulders again and said who's next. ( No thank you or I'm sorry just who's next.) I went to the other attendant showed her my problem and was taken care of. Still no apology. She did show the other attendant the problem. Murphy is not the closest service station to my house, but I go there because until today I get great friendly service. I will continue to shop at this location, but not for long if I get treatment like this. Donald Powell
